I also am having a lengthy wait with Halifax we are now in the 7th month i phone every week and get a different excuse!!:(
Same as. God I thought i'd been waiting a long time. I've been waiting 6 months. I rang them today and was told that they have been waiting for the new rules to come in place and are going to start dealing with complaints very soon. Have they told you the same?0 -
Has anybody had any luck with Natwest?
On the 7th of May I rang the claim number given by my bank.
On 19th May I recieved a letter dated 14th May with 3 different PPI claim numbers (I'd forgotten about one of the loans) and the usual blah, blah, blah timescale etc.
Today I recieved a letter dating 31st May with only one PPI number on saying another 4 weeks blah. blah etc.
Rang them up to query why only 1 number and was told the latest letter covers all 3 claims so I asked if the call was being recorded as I wanted definative proof the letter was covering all 3 claims. The man I spoke to was very helpful and said although the claims were hoping to be sorted within 8 weeks it was taking nearer 12 weeks and thanked me for my patience.
.....here's hoping for succesful claims
Thank you to everybody who has posted on this thread as you've all given me a kick up the bottom to claim what is really mine xxInsanity is just a constant phase I'm going through0 -

Hi there
Wishing you luck on this.
I had a few cases in at the same time via Lloyds and they gave one case complaint ref number with them as well, but coming down to it, they do keep them separate when dealing with them.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi,
Anyone had any luck with claiming back PPI from RBS ??
I had a general bank review with them abut 6 years ago and ended up gaining a credit card in the process... little did I know that the PPI was automatically added on, it was never even mentioned at the time.
I have downloaded a template from their website and will send it off.
just wondered what the chances of success are, unfortunately I don't have the initial paperwork.
Thanks Diane0 -

Hi, i have had this response today from natwest after complaining i havent received a confirmation letter off them.
Thank you for your email of 5 June 2011, addressed to Stephen Hester. I am sorry you have found cause to complain. We aim to resolve this for you as soon as we can.
After reading your letter, I have arranged for a manager from our PPI Team to investigate your complaint and, to ensure that you get a full response. I have asked for a copy of the response so I can be sure that we've handled your complaint correctly. You will hear further from my colleague within 10 working days.
If, you have not had a response by this time, please contact us and we will take matters forward on your behalf.
Yours sincerely

Hi there
Do not worry about the paperwork, as long as you know you were sold and mis sold then give it a go anyway.
Wishing you luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
