last year I was successful in claiming ppi back on 2 Loans from Lloyds and one from Beneficial Finance. I have been into my local branch of Lloyds who kindly printed off a list of my loans and it would appear that since 1997 I have had 5 loans each one refinancing the next and having PPI on the loan, so today I have sent a claim form off for the 5 loans (heres hoping).

They paid me out on 2 for the same reasons I have cited for these 5 so I could be lucky.

Also I remembered that my loan from Beneficial finance that they paid out on was one that was also refinanced, so I have just found out the agreement number and sent a claim out to them for the same reasons that they upheld the loan originally. So keep your fingers crossed.

Will let you know how I get on.

    Hi

Im in exactly the same situation as you, i had a topshop card was self employed yet girl on desk at topshop stated i needed the ppi, took it out my account is now closed but have just sent a letter off to Santander who now are the providers for this card but was unsure on if i should be writing to creation as well... hopefully santander will issue all my statements etc and take it from there... any advice or up-dates would be most appreciated.

    Thanks & Good Luck

    Hi there

I think you have done the right thing, but if you want to cover yourself maybe write a letter just to let them know you have sent your complaint to Santander and you enclose a copy of your letter within.

    Good luck.

    Good luck Michelle.;)

    Same situation as myself.
I was successful on a few Lloyds loan ppi reclaims over a year ago, and since came across another 2 pre 2000, and have just been successful, although now I am also looking at yet another 2 from mis 90's.

    Fingers crossed all round x

I had a sole trader account with Abbey Business so therefore did not require the PPI, blah blah - we all know the rest.
When I approached Santander in October 2010 (way before the recent legal ruling), who now own the Abbey brand, they could not of been more helpful.
I did not have to rummage around to find any previous card statements or work out the numbers, they did it all for me with complete transparency (showed their workings!) and offered me the full amount of PPI payments, back dated to the inception of the card. Very happy bunny and all credit to Santander for being so proactive.
DMP launched 04/07/17 left to pay = £14,238.79 (£16,982.82 original debt.) Thanks to MSE & all you wonderful Forum Peeps!:T

I'm new to this, so please bear with me.

I have a loan with Northern Rock which I took out in Jan 2006. Although the application was done online, when I received documents I noticed there was an error, so i rang to see if they had correct info, which they did. whilst i was on the phone I asked if I really needed the PPI as i didn't really want it. I was told that the bronze life cover was the miniumum insurance i could take out. I told them that I already had a stand alone insurance cover that would cover me in case of my death. they said I would still need their cover. I also asked if there were any exclusions to the policy, to be told there were none. Well being a bit green around the gills I thought they knew better.

Well just discovered as I was changing my life policy to a new insurance company, that I was covered by my stand alone policy.

To top it off, having read the terms of the PPI I have also discovered that I have a condition which was diagnosed before I took out loan. This is not covered on policy should I pop my clogs from it.

Does anyone think i have a case for claiming mis sold PPi? or am I wasting my time trying to claim back my money?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi just thought I would update you on my various claims, rang BOS again this evening and was told that my claim was still being looked at and she thought it would go to the full 8 wks.
rang Key Financial the claims company who have mad a right hash of my claim sent docs through last Sept and to cut a long story short thay sent my docs to HSBC(my loan was with Household Bank)
Then they informed me that HSBC said I did not have PPI ,I have my original docs which clearly state that PPI was added to my loan.
After many e-mails they kept saying different people were looking after my case and they neede to get in touch with HFC who are part of Household bank.
I sent them another letter signed to give HFc which they said they had sent off.
Heard nothing,so today in a fit of rage sent an e-mail to the two Directors and Processing team to tell them that I was not satisfied with the way they had dealt with me and if I did,t get areply in 20 mins I would cut all ties with them and sort it myself.
Suprise they rang me and tried to give me the old your in a massive queue and We have rang HFc and they will reply to you soon.
Can I ring HFc and ask them to deal with me now?
I will never use a claims management company again.
    What a nightmare.
    Thanks in advance:(

Hi, just wondering if someone could advise me; my husband had a loan with RBOS, and believes he was falsely led into having insurance (was given the impression he had to take the insurance to get be considered for the loan). He's filled in the questionnaire, but; is it better to send a letter first, and then the questionnaire? Or do you just send off the questionnaire as it is, with the bits at the top and bottom left on; or do they need to be removed before the printed form is sent to the bank in question? I'm a tad bit confused! :)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

I have never seen a template :rotfl:
What do the bits at the top and bottom say?, and you do not need to send a letter as well as the form will suffice, unless you have other things to add that dont fit on the questionnaire.
