You should hear back within 14days, which will be to confirm they have your compliant and then they have up to 8 weeks to deal with your compliant after those 8weeks you can then chase up etc.:D

might be worth posting it recorded too;)

Good idea- Hope the post office is open when I get home else I'll have to wait till weekend :(:o

Just filled in the paperwork to send off to the Co-Op bank about 2 loans I had with them.

Fingers crossed, should hear back between 5 days and 4 weeks right?

    Hi there

They should acknowledge your complaints by a week to 10 days, and the normal timescale is that of 8 weeks, sometimes they will get back with a decision earlier, or they may write to ask for more time.

    Good luck on your reclaiming.
Also check directly on Co op banking, there is a drop list of questions and answers.

    Hi and welcome

I understand your able to make a reclaim on Catalogue cover insurance as well.
Do give it a go if you were mis sold the cover with your reasons, follow the details below to step 3 of the reclaiming questionnaire.

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step3
Complete and send to the head office or complaints dept of the catalogue, allow 8 weeks for a decision, and keep copies of everything in case you need to refer back to this again at some point, good luck.

    Hiya and your welcome.

You can ring them if you want to but personally I would try to keep everything in writing, you have this in evidence and they may try to say anything on the phone to you, its up to you though, but if you believe you have a case of being mis sold, just give it a go on the reclaiming anyway, good luck.

Well done to all the successes reported on this website and for the helpful information.

Please can you give me some advice.......I have a Wallis store card (still in existence) that I took out in May 1999 - PPI was added by Creation Financial Services by their telemarketing department from June 1999. I have written to Creation Financial Services regarding this as I was a young mum at the time working on a temporary basis for less than 16 hours per week, so was not a suitable applicant to be been sold it.

The card was then taken over by GE Capital, now Santander from 2004 (had been paying PPI since June 1999) and apparently they upgraded the PPI and wrote to me giving me the opportunity to cancel the insurance with a 30 day no quibble guarantee if I wished to cancel in 2004 - I don't remember this. Because the insurance has shown on my statements and could have been cancelled or claimed against during this time they will not consider my claim from 2004 onwards. I cancelled the insurance myself from 2007. During all of the above time, I only worked on a part-time basis. Santander state that this is their final response.

Can I have some advice please as I feel I should never have had this insurance in the first place and even though I was given the opportunity to cancel (so they say) Santander was my bank at the time and knew that I was a part-time worker???

    Thanks
