Hi just thought I would update you on my various claims, rang BOS again this evening and was told that my claim was still being looked at and she thought it would go to the full 8 wks.
rang Key Financial the claims company who have mad a right hash of my claim sent docs through last Sept and to cut a long story short thay sent my docs to HSBC(my loan was with Household Bank)
Then they informed me that HSBC said I did not have PPI ,I have my original docs which clearly state that PPI was added to my loan.
After many e-mails they kept saying different people were looking after my case and they neede to get in touch with HFC who are part of Household bank.
I sent them another letter signed to give HFc which they said they had sent off.
Heard nothing,so today in a fit of rage sent an e-mail to the two Directors and Processing team to tell them that I was not satisfied with the way they had dealt with me and if I did,t get areply in 20 mins I would cut all ties with them and sort it myself.
Suprise they rang me and tried to give me the old your in a massive queue and We have rang HFc and they will reply to you soon.
Can I ring HFc and ask them to deal with me now?
I will never use a claims management company again.
    What a nightmare.
    Thanks in advance:(

You need to look at the t&c that you signed with the company, you could cancel and may have something to pay.
On the other hand, they have not dealt with your claim very well and you could try telling them that you are not happy with the timescale and the way they have dealt with this and you want to terminate their services, this may not work but you never know until you try.

I'm new to this, so please bear with me.

I have a loan with Northern Rock which I took out in Jan 2006. Although the application was done online, when I received documents I noticed there was an error, so i rang to see if they had correct info, which they did. whilst i was on the phone I asked if I really needed the PPI as i didn't really want it. I was told that the bronze life cover was the miniumum insurance i could take out. I told them that I already had a stand alone insurance cover that would cover me in case of my death. they said I would still need their cover. I also asked if there were any exclusions to the policy, to be told there were none. Well being a bit green around the gills I thought they knew better.

Well just discovered as I was changing my life policy to a new insurance company, that I was covered by my stand alone policy.

To top it off, having read the terms of the PPI I have also discovered that I have a condition which was diagnosed before I took out loan. This is not covered on policy should I pop my clogs from it.

Does anyone think i have a case for claiming mis sold PPi? or am I wasting my time trying to claim back my money?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Look here for reasons for mis sell

if any/all apply to you then put a claim in.

Use the reasons you have stated here also.

I have never seen a template :rotfl:
What do the bits at the top and bottom say?, and you do not need to send a letter as well as the form will suffice, unless you have other things to add that dont fit on the questionnaire.
Just looked at the letter, you send it all.

Thanks for your response, and so quickly! Just to check; the bit at the top says 'payment protection insurance; consumer questionnaire' and goes on to say 'what is this questionnaire for?' and 'what do I need to do?' - so I don't need to send a letter too? Thanks again :)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

    Hi there

I think you definately have a good case here, so do give it a go.

Step 3 below - complete the reclaim questionnaire
Send to whoever set up your account - Head office or complaints dept, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck on this.

    Hiya

Sorry to hear of your issues here.
Yes I would certainly write to them (HFC) as well to cover yourself and any copies of letters you may have from HSBC as well.
    Good luck.

    Hiya

Yes I believe there have been success via Halifax, although they may be a little slow at the moment on dealing with complaints since the JR issue finally ended.
I believe they have the same CEO address as Lloyds, so maybe you could contact them if you've been waiting far too long and ask them for a timescale.

    Good luck.

Sorry forgot to ask, have you started on a reclaim with these yet?
