Have you tried calling Santander's complaint line, they sorted 2 of my complaints in just over a week?

The number for complaints is: 0845 600 6014 and for PPI complaints its option 2 then option 4 then option 2

    Hope that helps!

PPI was with Cahoot (Santander). Template form sent 19th May. Received acknowledgement of complaint letter AND offer letter on 2nd June. Made one call to check complaint received a week previously - incredibly helpful team at Santander. Refund offer of 3.5k due within 28 days. Delighted. Thanks for all the advice on this site. Cross fingers with RBS complaint!

Hi Can i ask how much was the loan for and how many years was it over. I am still waiting from santander. Many thanks.

Hi, i have just had a call from hsbc and someone in the ppi department has now been assigned to my claim, she told me that i will have a decision in the next 10 working days, if i am successful i will just have to sign a form and fingers crossed i might have my money back by the end of the month!

I emailed the ceo yesterday and again today to say i had still not heard and then less than an hour later i had a call which i am sure i would not have had if i hadnt sent the emails so just keep sending them until you get some aknowledgement from the right department! fingers crosssed x

I have now emailed the CEO twice and so far received no reply or acknowledgement. I will continue to email daily until I do receive a response. Any further info. on HSBC would be greatly appreciated. They are still saying they are waiting for guidelines from the FSA on how to deal with claims.

Well done to all the successful people on here!!!

Put a complaint in to the FOS and FSCS, ring them tell them what HSBC are saying, this is a stalling tactic.they should not be allowed to get away with this.

Well done to all the successes reported on this website and for the helpful information.

Please can you give me some advice.......I have a Wallis store card (still in existence) that I took out in May 1999 - PPI was added by Creation Financial Services by their telemarketing department from June 1999. I have written to Creation Financial Services regarding this as I was a young mum at the time working on a temporary basis for less than 16 hours per week, so was not a suitable applicant to be been sold it.

The card was then taken over by GE Capital, now Santander from 2004 (had been paying PPI since June 1999) and apparently they upgraded the PPI and wrote to me giving me the opportunity to cancel the insurance with a 30 day no quibble guarantee if I wished to cancel in 2004 - I don't remember this. Because the insurance has shown on my statements and could have been cancelled or claimed against during this time they will not consider my claim from 2004 onwards. I cancelled the insurance myself from 2007. During all of the above time, I only worked on a part-time basis. Santander state that this is their final response.

Can I have some advice please as I feel I should never have had this insurance in the first place and even though I was given the opportunity to cancel (so they say) Santander was my bank at the time and knew that I was a part-time worker???

    Thanks

You should hear back within 14days, which will be to confirm they have your compliant and then they have up to 8 weeks to deal with your compliant after those 8weeks you can then chase up etc.:D

might be worth posting it recorded too;)
