PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

I have written to two different banks with requests for copies of loan agreements to see if PPI was included. Both banks have written back claiming not to recognize the genuine quoted account numbers. I suspect that this is part of their plan to deter people from claiming back fees.
I spoke to one bank employee regarding PPI and I quoted at least three account numbers for the same bank, none of which she was able to locate and she seemed very anxious to get me off the phone at the earliest opportunity.
Hi there
May I ask what banks these are? (How long ago were these loans taken out)?
If your having problems you could try contacting the CEO.
Personally if any of the banks are local to you, pop in and speak to the branch manager who will or should go through the files for you by just using the bank account numbers.
Keep on at them, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Tell them you are not happy and will refer this to FOS.
Writing to the CEO is a waste of time, you may as well put your complaint in to your neighbour.:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

NatWest made me a goodwill offer on PPI on a credit card. It only went back 6 years and did not include interest. I wrote and refused saying I had statements etc and if they were making a goodwill offer I must have a case. I have received a letter today and they wont budge and have said to take it to the FOS.
For a matter of probably under £100 in total I probably wont bother but am not happy with them.
2 other claims with NatWest for loan PPI are on hold still.0 -
Having won my case with MBNA they have sent me the balance cheque but still have NOT cleared my account balance. When I rang they said they had sent me the total amount. I have waited a week and no sign of any further cheque and account not cleared. What are they playing at? The problem is you cannot seem to speak to anyone that knows anything. Will be emailing CEO this weekend.0

Hi there
How long ago did you take these out?
If any of them are still active, you can write a simple letter, enclose £1 cheque or postal order, and ask them to provide you with a copy of the agreement by 12 days, if you don't have the account number to enclose, give them as many details as you can.
PPI will be shown on your agreement.
Statements for Credit Cards, I assume if you were/are paying for ppi, this should be disclosed.
If any of the accounts were with your bank, or you paid by direct debit from your bank with other loans not belonging to the bank, you can speak to your branch manager who should be able to track down the accounts for you.
Hope this helps, you could try ringing the companies to ask if you were paying ppi.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
