I agree with you. Why can the likes of Santander deal with most claims within 2 weeks and RBS and the Lloyds group keep coming up with excuses. I wonder if the FSA are aware of what they are doing.

Why don't we all email the FSA with regards to these groups not dealing with complaints. Weren't Bank of Scotland (part of Lloyds) recently fined £m's for not dealing with complaints correctly?

Does anybody have an email address for FSA?

If anyone has their email address i certainly will email the FSA. Yes, you are right they were fined recently for not dealing with complaints correctly.

    Thanks Di.

I have just rang them(Tel no 0121 214 5577 - PPI complaints handling dept),to be put on hold while they checked my file and was then told that my claim is on hold due to the JR.Now thats over they will be re-investigating my claim but cannot put a timescale on when this will be.
I asked if this would be days, weeks, months or years and he couldnt tell me.
    Frustrating to say the least.

Not sure how I can push this one along.....I could email MD of HSBC again I suppose as they own HFC/GM and this has prompted action in the past.

    Matty.

    Hiya

    Hi all,

I am not sure if anyone can answer this question but I am currently in a debt managment plan owing money to credit cards and a loan which are all being handled by third party debt collection agencys.

Do you think I could still claim for my ppi? (obviusoly any money i get paid back i would pay straight off my debt)
Would it affect my debt managment plan?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi there

    And yes you can.
You still pursue the ones who sold you the ppi, head office or complaints dept, keep copies of everything and allow 8 weeks.
There is a reclaim questionnaire you send as on step 3 below.
You are correct that any refund will be awarded towards the debt, and anything remaining plus interest should be awarded directly to you, good luck.

Good Afternoon, Have Just chased up RBS Again! Case has been going on for 6 months, was told a month ago case had been fast-tracked as they had logged my complaint incorrectly, since then have been told will have an answer within 2 weeks and now have all documentation. Today been advised still awaiting documentation and claim on hold due to J review! Does anyone have the CEO email address for RBS please!! Many Thanks in advance.

    Hello all.
Just an update on my situation.
I have now received replies to all 3 of my complaint letters. Abbey (Santander) replied with their offer after less than 2 weeks offering £2842 :D ....Alliance & Leicester (Santander) replied in under 3 weeks offering £968 :D ...and Egg have replied to confirm that they have received my complaint and will get back to me with a decision soon.

I wish it was this easy for everyone, but good luck to you all.

    Chris.

    Congratulations Chris on your Success!

What were you reclaiming: Credit Card
    Who was the provider: Egg
    How much did you get back: £728.48 + £232.72 interest= £961.20
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Iactually phoned egg directly
And then write your brief reclaim tale.
I phoned egg directly to enquire about PPI being missold - they cancelled the current payments. In total £961 refunded within a time period of 12 days!!! for a 7 minute phonecall...

    Congratulations and well done!
