ME VERSUS BARCLAYS:eek:
I WON:j:j
Made claim for PPI. I have today been told that they are refunding me. A total of £5,849.27p.
Power to us all!!!:beer:0 -
Some Success for my mum, whose claim I have also been helping with. She has had 12 loans off the RBOS of scotland over a long peroid of time and on all was mis-sold PPI due to having a pre-existing illness/pressure sold/told it was good for the application to get it/and then just told it was part of the loan.
She has had in 2 rejection letters with regards to 2 loans but today she got a letter today with a goodwill gesture towards 5 loans.
£1265.69
£1242.48
£881.69
£614.55
£551.07
Total = £4555.48
I havent read the letter but it clearly doesnt include interest to date and the 8% a court would add but I doubt my mum will take it further with these ones because she isnt very well off and needs the money. Thank you for your help on this matter it has made my mum very happy which makes me happy. I will keep you updated on the other 7 loans they have not responded to so far.
My mum has received 5 more acceptance letters and it rougly equates to another £1200. Overall she has won back about £5700 thanks to this website:beer::j
Thanks all for you help0 -
Thanks to Martin's tips, I managed to reclaim just over £3800 from Northern Rock. I took out a loan with them a couple of years or so ago (still running now), but after reading Martin's articles, I believed I had been missold the PPI on the loan.
In September last year I wrote to Northern Rock asking to cancel the PPI, but they wrote back saying they hadn't missold the PPI. After several letter exchanges, I still wasn't happy with their replies so decided to write to the Financial Ombudsman sending them a copy of the loan agreement and copies of all correspondence. They were quite busy at the time and it took nearly 3 months for someone to be appointed to take on my case.
The F.O. contacted Northern Rock and more or less immediately received a reply back saying they would refund the PPI (just like that!). It took another couple of months or so before I got my money back, but it was well worth the wait.

I Put A Post On Before
I Got The Facts Now As In My Last Post It Was All Guesses.
Loan Of £2,300 Over 10 Years, Apr 29%. 1.44% Mth
After Making Payments Of £63 A Mth On The Loan For 5 Years
Had A Letter From First Plus Finance Saying We Could Be Entitled To 25% Of Ppi Back As There Was No Claims In 5 Years.
Wrote To Ask About Getting All Ppi Back As We Think Missold.
Rang About Two Weeks Later, They Hadnt Recieved The Letter, And Said That £400 Had Been Paid In Total And Would Get Back £100.
Guess What !!! On The Credit Agreement It States Min £40 Mth, And Ppi Nil…..
Have Paid All This Money And Still Owes Thousands.
I Have E Mailed Them For A Break Down Of Payments First Just To See What That Involves, Then We May Get The Original Letter Sent Recorded This Time And See.
Thing Is Where Do We Stand If The Ppi Suppose To Be Nil, And They Have Some How Took It According To The Phone Call??????
On The Back Of The Credit Agreement It Do Mention Enforcable What Does That Mean As Iv Been Hearing This Word Mentioned.0
