  • Just another question - I am trying to sort all my PPI stuff out and things keep "popping up"!

We had a loan from AA loans, and definitely had PPI insurance on this loan. We paid it off in full in 2008. I therefore sent off one of the template forms on here off to the Co-operative Bank as I beleive they are actually AA loans. I sent this recorded delivery, to be signed for, and they received this on 19th April. I still havent had any response to this at all, not even an acknowledgement. I dont really know what to do next, should I wait for the 8 weeks to be up or do you think I should contact them again?

Has anyone else had dealings with AA loans, or Co-operative Bank? How are they at paying up does any one know?

  • Success story!! :-)
I took out a loan of £7k from Santander in May 2008 to buy a car. Sold the car in May 2010 and paid off the loan. Santander wrote to me a couple of times asking me if I wished to make a complaint re. mis-selling of PPI and subsequent to the recent publicity in the media re. mis-selling, I decided to see if I had a case.

I printed off the template form from this website, completed it, popped it in the post. I received a written offer within 2 weeks of sending the form! They've offered me £1,639 which comprises a refund of all the monthly premiums, a rebate adjustment and interest at 8%.

Result! Happy bunny :-) Big-up for Santander, no quibbles, they just got on with it efficiently and remarkably quickly.

They have told me I could go further and refer my complaint to the ombudsman and they sent me an explanatory leaflet. However, I am happy to settle so will be signing and returning the offer letter asap.

ahhh ive just re read a few i guess it depends on the length of time you had the loan and paying it off ect ect

LOL, the interest adds up as well.:D;) And sometimes can work out more than the actual ppi itself.

I always get someone to work out for me, I'm not the one normally to calculate, I will be afraid I've worked it out wrong :o:D LOL.

    Hi Di,

So does that actually mean that the older the loan/credit card that you had PPI on, the more interest you will get back? Correct me if i'm wrong! ;)
