I have just heard from Santander (just one week) after making my complaint by telephone to say that they are upholding my complaint for mis-sold MPPI which is fantastic news, I just wondered if someone is able to tell me how much I should expect to be offered?

    We paid £67.82 for 6 years & 6 months.

    Many thanks

    Hi all,

I have only recently become aware of this site and was after some advice on a claim that ive tried to make. If anyone has any information it would be much appreciated.

The backgound is: I purchased a car from my local Vauxhall dealer in 2008 and the car was financed with Black Horse. Because of my 'not too good' credit history i was told that the ppi was compulsory which people are now saying is incorrect. So i filled in the form from this site and sent it 'with a copy of my agreement' to Black Horse.
They have replied saying that they are not responsible for the sale of the ppi, it was the dealers where i purchased the car. They also said that this is their final response to this matter and that i should write to the FOS if i wanted to pursue it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Do i even have a claim to make? If so, should i pursue the vauxhall dealer, Black Horse or write to the FOS?

    Help

    Thanks
  • Hi there
ive just been reading about the possibility of reclaiming for misselling of ppi. I took out a loan with citifinancial in 2006 for £4000 for 60 months at £145.33 per month im aware that ppi was on this loan and when finished paying them this year will have paid them a huge £8719. This company has since sold all its loans to moneyways. Do you think its worth trying to claim something back and how do i go about finding out what sort of ppi i was sold

    Well done on your success!
I'm sure someone will be along at some point to look at them for you.

There is probably interest to add as well, and more details will be required.;)

    Hi there

That is correct that you pursue the ones who set up the policy, so basically you will need to send your complaint to the Vauxhall, possible the main head office.

    More details on Vauxhall below.
    https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/tools/vauxhall-contact-us.html

You may have to select the garage where you purchased the policy.

Details here as well of the Chief executive officer/Email

Hope this help, please keep us posted and the best of luck.

    Hi there
PPI is normally to cover for unemployment, sickness, maybe lifecover and so on, so if you think you have been mis sold the product do give it a go.

Follow the link below to the reclaim questionnaire, complete and send to the ones who set up your policy, head office, keep copies and allow 8 weeks for a decision.

    Good luck.

    Hello all.

After listening to your advice, I decided to send off the template letter to reclaim PPI on 3 loans. That was 2 weeks ago...to my astonishment, today, I received a letter from Santander offering me a full PPI premium refund plus 8%. Giving me a grand total of £2842.80.
I cannot thank you all enough for the help you have given me throught this website. I am getting married this year and now we can actualy afford a honeymoon. I cant stop smiling.:D

    You need to post here
the date the loan started and finished, what was the ppi total how long was the loan over, and if you settled early.
I am sure that Marshallka or Robbedof will help you with these when they come on.
