    Hi All,
Having recently commenced my PPI claims and receiving one offer in record time, after checking the standard response letters I have received thus far, I have not received an acknowledgement from Capital One.

Any one had any recent success with Capital One, or got a telephone number I could call? Your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Just had a telephone conversation with Capital One, there is a letter in the post on which they state because there is a 'Tick' on the original application they regard this as a legitimate PPI. I need to see the application to see if it was pre populated (electronically) Gonna request a copy.

I used a template letter which indicates many reasons why I belive PPI was mis-sold. Seems like I am off to the FOS with this complaint. Wish me luck:D

Any one got any updates regarding the turn around time for the FOS?

    Hi there
    Good luck with that then.
That is however one of the standard responses, and you may still have reason anyway, even if the agreement was ticked, so don't worry.

You may yet been given an opportunity to write back with further information, see what the letter says, and of course if its the final decision - complain to the FOS.

I understand the FOS do have overly large volumes of complaints, but are trying to get down to them as quickly as possible, some are being told 6 months while others been told a year, it does not mean it will take that long, but depending on the circumstances of reclaims as well, if they're complex etc.

    Keep at them.;)

Thought I may as well add my success story with HFC BANK-currently have a loan for about 1200 quid with PPI which was about a tenner a month or thereabouts dating back to 2002.Used the template form here and sent by recorded delivery on 9th May,received standard acknowledgement of receipt a week later.Received a letter yesterday upholding my appeal and refunding just over 4 grand-all I had to do was send back a form of acceptance and the money will be credited to my bank account, hopefully it wont take too long for that.
Was amazed at how quickly it was dealt with to be honest-expected at least 6 weeks.
Still got a couple other complaints in,but yet to hear anything back yet.
Couldnt have come at a better time as overtime is scarce just now and things are a bit tiight.
