It doesnt actually say in the letter whether they have taken on my complaint it says my correspondence has been received safely and they are currentlt receiving very high volumes of enquiries and will provide me with a full response as soon as possible?

Having never done this before im not sure!

    Hiya

It looks like then they have put your case in the system, so the next step would be - passed on to an Adjudicator, but yes that is correct they have very high volumes of complaints and it can take some time, but give them a call, the case number should be on the letter.

Ask them now what is the move on this, to make sure.
    Good luck.

I have previously tried (unsucessfully) to reclaim my missold PPI from First Plus. They sadi that as i signed the paperwork I must have been aware that I had it even though I thought I couldn't get the loan without it. Now with this new ruling does anyone know if it is worth me trying again or will they just say no straight away as they have already said it before.

Yes, try again do not let this drop.
These are your reasons for mis sell.

We/i believe we were mis sold the ppi on the above account number.
1)We/i were not told that the ppi was in effect another loan that was added to the original loan and was repayable over the loan term with interest.

    2) We/i were not told that the ppi only covered us for 5 years, but the ppi would still be on the loan to term end with interest.

    3) We/i were told that if we did not make a claim on the ppi ,after 5 years we would recieve the ppi as cashback, and to look on this as savings plan.. But were not told that the ppi would be on the loan to term end with interest and the cashback of ppi would not include the interest that we paid over the 5 years.
We/i believe we were not given enough information on this ppi to make an informed decision. Had we/i known the full cost of this ppi we would not have taken it.

Unless you can prove without doubt that this PPI policy was fair, reasonable and suitable for my/our circumstances we/i will require you to rearrange the loan as if PPI had never been included on the aforementioned loan.

Anyone had much luck with Natwest? I sent a letter off to them two weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet (sent it signed for so I know they have it) - any idea on timescales of when I should receive an initial response?

    Hi Lisa

The normal timescales is that of 8 weeks, but you should receive an acknowledgement letter anytime soon. I assume they have lots of catching up to do, good luck on your reclaim.;)

Thanks very much :) I used one of the templates but I have only just seen some people talking about a questionnaire? Is this essential for a reclaim? I did tell them about the reasons etc for mis-selling the PPI to me - so I assume they will still deal without a questionnaire?

Hi there, that is fine, the questionnaire replaced the template, you will get the same result.

That is fine as amersall confirms.;)
Either way they must still look into your complaint, good luck.

  • can any one help me, i believe that i have been sold ppi with littlewoods i opened up a account in 2008 and was mis sold the ppi over the phone, they then claimed they sent me a policy and that i needed to send it back if i didnt want it, i have no records of this and littlewoods will not give me policy number or a copy as they say i canceled it in 2009 (which i did) they have been very sly with me and avoiding any conformation of this policy only a recorded phone call made by me to them in 2008?? this is insane. Am i entilted to have a copy as i need the policy number the amount will work out to about 400 pounds.
Also my next question is we attempted to make a claim with direct line for a ppi sum of 2333.00! we put the claim through back in 2009 and got a good will gesture of 750.00 and stupidly took it, however as these new bank rules have come through can we try to reclaim the remainder?
