Hi - I sent off the reclaim template with a covering letter to Co-op on the 15th April by recorded delivery, as advised to, they received in on the 19th April but we havent heard a thing from them. How long should we wait before either contacting them again or getting in touch with the FOB - or do we still have to do that!

I also sent off a template form to EGG on 7 April recorded delivery and received two letters back from them, a day apart, stating that they were waiting for the judical review but nothing else - yet others have stated they have been offered payments even though they sent their forms about two weeks after I did. I am now wondering did I miss out?

    Hi there

They have 8 weeks normally, but should keep you informed.

Now that the JR issues are all over, maybe you will hear something soon, maybe give them a ring or email if you have the email details and ask for an update.

    Good luck.;)

Hi there Dan and welcome back to the forums (no pun intended lol):D.

How long ago was your account opened?
Welcome Finance claims are now being dealt with by the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS), as the business are now in default.
If this was sold by a broker you pursue them and not Welcome.
And otherwise if sold by Welcome but prior to 2005, I would then contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) and ask them for suggestions on where to take this.
They will possibly suggest the underwriter/insurer of the policy as they have done with many in the same situation.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on, cheers.

    Di,

I have a loan taken out 15.3.05-30.9.05 no ppi then 30.9.05-3.7.06 ppi was £1802.18 (which i've been told by welcome) and the 3rd 3.7.06-present, the 3rd loan paid off the 2nd loan, would that mean that i've paid off the ppi from the 2nd loan? Can i claim a larger amount?

    Hiya

Yes you can make a reclaim on them all.

Whoever set up your account for the first one you pursue them, and if the advances were taken out by Welcome you pursue them.

So make sure you enclose all the loan account numbers on reclaiming.

Welcome Finance - you would have to make a claim through the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS), contact them and they will arrange to send you a claim form.

    Good luck.

I've been using an agent to get the money back for me, (i know i know) is it true that the FSCS only pay 90%

    Hi there

Yes that is about right, mind you when I made a claim through them via another company I still received more than I expected.;)

I have paid over 5 grand in PPI to Black Horse through personal loans and had got a PPI reclaim team on the case in 2008 only to be be told there was nothing they could do because Black Horse was not regulated before Jan 2005 and my loans were taken out in 2003 and 2004. I had given up on this long ago and had some hope these last few weeks when I heard all the hype about the PPI payback so rang FOS this morning only to be told once again that nothing could be done as BLack Horse were only regulated before March 2003 and after Jan 2005....meaning I have missed out on all my PPI repayments. Black Horse are a bunch of thieves who have gotten away with stealing over £5k from me.

    Sorry to hear that.
However, the FOS will normally suggest another direction, this would be with the underwriter/insurer as they have done with many of us in the same situation. These would have been regulated and they will consider taking the complaint on.

It will take some time though, but mine is still ongoing.

I would give them another call and mention about this, in case they missed giving you this info.
    Good luck.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes the FOS did say that but in the same breath said that I probably wouldn't get any money back from them. Do you think it is worth doing?

I'm bloody raging to tell you the truth. Thieving scum is all Black Horse are...if I stole 5 grand from them I'd be in the slammer.
