    I feel for you :(

are black horse, not apart of the lloyds banking group?

how far back have people been successful? and if they have been successful from this cut off, shouldnt everyone be treated equal?

    Hi

Yes been through all this before....apparently Lloyds own Black Horse but the Black Horse loans business are/were nothing to do with Lloyds - figure that one out?!

And yes you would think that it should be equal whereby when they are forced to refund PPI which they have mis-sold then it should follow right through....but of course when they weren't regulated within certain dates they will obviously use this as a loophole. I'm just one person and they have stole £5k from me, just think how much more they stole from other "customers" in that "unregulated" period! It will go a long way towards offsetting what they will have to repay back anyway.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes the FOS did say that but in the same breath said that I probably wouldn't get any money back from them. Do you think it is worth doing?

I'm bloody raging to tell you the truth. Thieving scum is all Black Horse are...if I stole 5 grand from them I'd be in the slammer.

Yes I would at least give it a go.
Mine have been with them for a long time now, and I do think if there was no hope at all, the FOS would have given up on it by now.;)

Yes I can understand how frustrating this is for you.

sorry to sound or ask the question, how do you know if you had a black horse loan or a Lloyds loan?

Ok I'll give it a go...however it doesn't say on my loan agreements who the insurance company was so I assume I'd have to contact Black Horse directly, yes?

No worries....well I assume it's Black Horse as all agreements are printed on Black Horse stationary, I don't think it even states LLoyds anywhere on the documents.

I've been using an agent to get the money back for me, (i know i know) is it true that the FSCS only pay 90%
Yes the FSCS only pay 90% of compensation, and they take the "win " off the loan if it is still running. With this i am afraid you will have to pay the claim company out of your own pocket.

If the loan is paid off, then you will get the "win" back to you, less the company fees.Hope it is this option!.

id keep going with it, as you never know;)

i had a few loans with lloyds (i think? or would they be black horse) which started from 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 20001 all with mis-sold ppi and all paid back without missing a beat etc but am starting to feel i already know the outcome reading these threads.

so best of luck and keep on and with the updates!:)

Don't worry if I get anywhere with it I'll be only too delighted to post it up here. Incidentally, you must have been well stung too then with PPI on 5 loans?

Yes no doubt i have, i didnt keep any of the paperwork as when a loan got paid up or finished the paperwork was shredded so figures i have no idea of!

I was mis-sold in so many ways! i think almost all of these!! the best one was that i needed it due to only being 17 and it was my 1st ever loan, aswell as being sold at the same time as the loan and ppi a separate insurance for accident, sickness and unempolyment!! so i was double f****d over!

but due to that separate insurance and still having it today i really didnt need the ppi on every other loan! hows that for mis-selling and having your pants pulled down at the same time!

Lloyds Tsb you've got to love'em:mad::mad:
