Am i entilted to have a copy as i need the policy number the amount will work out to about 400 pounds.
Also my next question is we attempted to make a claim with direct line for a ppi sum of 2333.00! we put the claim through back in 2009 and got a good will gesture of 750.00 and stupidly took it, however as these new bank rules have come through can we try to reclaim the remainder?
I would hope that they relook at these goodwill gestures from the past. That would show us they really mean business.0 -
We now need to see more success!
Since the announcement last week first made by Lloyds that they were not supporting the BBA in regards of the JR, then the other banks followed just days later alongside with the BBA, its time they move on with complaints.
They will have already have a huge amount of complaints to get through and of course hiring of more staff to deal with the uptake!
Before it was decided if the appeal was going ahead or not, it was said before that if they didn't its a matter of them getting on with it, but its going to be slow I think.
My bank are unable to give me a timescale, and its the last 2 cases I have with them, they have been with them since before Christmas 2010, and they confirmed by email they cannot give a timescale of when we should hear or of when they will actually be dealing with the complaints!
Good luck to all still waiting, and also the best of luck to the ones now starting to make a reclaim.
Lets hope they get the ball rolling on them as soon as possible.
We all want to see some new posts of success posted up.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I agree! since the review etc the success rates seem to have stopped! worryingly!
hopefully it was just the pause due to the JR that have slowed things and now that most people are now aware they may have been mis-sold its just a back log and high demand on the banks slowing it all.
fingers crossed and good luck to all:)
hope its just a delay and not some backward way of avoiding the complaints!:):D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

What was the whole reply you got?.
You put originally that they gave you a rebate when you cancelled, when was the loan taken out?.0 -

I have a complaint with hfc bank and decided to give them a few days from the announcement before telephoning to find out what was going on. They told me that they still had until the 17th of may to decide whether or not to appeal, and hfc would not be making any decisions until then (well woman in a call centre told me as she refused to put me through to someone with real knowledge of the court case).
She basically said on the phone not to call them until a few days after the 17th as they were expecting a high volume of calls and any decision may take a few days to be fed down to call centre staff. More stalling tactics i'm afraid. She did say that they would be dealing with complaints based on the date that they were received and had a backlog of complaints dating back to october 2010. I may be sceptical but if they continually put off investigating claims then I very much doubt that they will employ any more staff to investigate complaints, they will take this opportunity to take their time and hope that people forget and just leave well alone. I certainly will not leave mine.DFD: 23/12/20100 -
I sent the first template to lloyds tsb last week in reference to two loans. Had a letter to acknowledge my letter. Now i just have to wait and see.:) Has anyone had any success with Littlewoods and the extra care advantage? I've emailed them as they were adding about £35 each month without any consent!!0
