Have received an offer from Santander regarding a loan that I had PPI on for a year before I cancelled it. Offer is for £689 which includes 8% interest, am assuming that their figure is correct! Will be accepting it today.
    So far successes:
    £260 - Natwest
    £760 - Natwest
    £689 - Santander

    Thanks for you help!

Congrats on winning your claim and for the other two too.:T:T

    SUCCESS!

1 letter sent to Egg 2 weeks ago, reclaiming PPI on an old credit card. Refunded £128.31 today with no fuss and no chasing.

Worth the small effort of sending a letter.

    Nice one ...well done.:T

    Hi All,

Just letting you know that i recently recieved £2974 in reclaimed PPI premiums from Egg Card. Having had another junk e-mail from a probably disreputable company offering to help me reclaim premiums, i decided to e-mail Egg myself.

Within 3 days i had a letter acknowledging the complaint / claim and within 4 weeks my cheque arrived :rotfl:.

I've just started the same process with Barclaycard, wish me luck !!

What Barclay card did tell me is that apparently the banks have 40 days to resolve these complaints so i expect it will be sorted soon. And all this from just a couple of e-mails.

Another one with an egg success. Well done.

Thankyou to the people who contribute actively on this site,I started my claim against Picture financial in late Nov, and last week recieved a cheque for 23880.00 which was great!! I didnt think I could do it on my own and did consider appointing an agent, but reading other peoples stories,I thought it best to tackle on my own, so I thank you all again, and advise others to fight back,
I have written a few breaches that may help, if you find the same misselling criteria:
Not understanding the true cost implications of the policy of PPI is a breach of ICOB 5.5.14R
Failiure to establish your "demands and needs" is a breach of ICOB 4.4.1
if you provider has broken the FSA guideline figure of 6.00 per every 100.00 covered
I hope this helps someone else good luck all who are still claiming and very well done to those who have sucessfully claimed!!

    Thats fantastic. Well done you.:beer::beer:

I am sure Di and Amersall will really appreciate your thanks and the many others that have helped on here. They are good at what they do.

    Well done again.;)

I thought I would report my success as it is quite unusual. The PPI in question was on my late husbands credit card (my husband passed away in 2006), but I knew he had PPI and after the publicity from yourself I decided to give it a try. I reclaimed the PPI in October 2010. He had 4 credit cards all with PPI, I am still persuing 3, but I have had success with American Express. My husband took out the PPI in May 1998, he was not sold it by AMEX, but merely ticked the relevant box when he applied for the card. I received from American Express all the premiums of £1545.53 plus interest at 8% of £923.60 a grand total of £2 469.03. I did not use a claims handler, and did not have to go to the Ombusman but I did use all your template letters, adapted to the particular circumstances.

Thats brilliant. Well done you. Better to have all the money coming to you than having to give a lions share to those dreaded claims companies.

    Well done:T:T:T

After obtaining a loan with welcome finance for a car then agreeing a top up loan after a 6 month period not knowing that welcome had put this dam loan against my property which I never would have agreed to further down the line 5 years with no missed payments I found that I was paying ppi great I thought after all the media on rip off pp I put a clam in, then in November 2010, after sending all my documentation through I got an offer of refund after the trick tactic questionnaire for the region of £3,666 great ! I signed the acceptance form with my partner as there was two choices one to give your bank details in as there was another box underneath it tick if you wanted the balance paid off your loan which I did not want so we choose to receive payment into the bank. After a 3 month wait I called the head office to see where they were regarding our loan they were quite helpful and gave me re assurance that payment would be around a 17 day period after the acceptance after this so what called 17 day period was over I called head office after a 45 minute wait on the telephone to see why the money had not been paid in I spoke to an obnoxious man and do you know what he said! he said that we had ticked the box on the acceptance form and that the monies will be paid of the loan what a load of bull I said to him, he was quite adamant I said there is no way in this world that I ticked the box as needed the money and not set out to pay it off the loan so why did I send my bank details to you I called my local branch and they are sending a complaint letter to them also I called the financial ombudsman who also is writing to then what a load of bull hey! Still ongoing 11/03/11:money::money::money:

Thats so wrong. Fingers crossed for you. Good luck.

Far too easy !!! You must all do it now !!!
Loan with Egg, taken out 2001, paid off in 2010.
One letter sent reclaiming PPI for mis selling, told me when I took the loan out I was unlikely to be granted the loan without taking the PPI.
1 week later letter off Egg to acknowledge my compalint.
3 weeks later another letter telling me they were still investigating.
8 weeks to the day another letter saying they were still investigating but I could go to the FOS.
I wrote back to them giving them a further 2 weeks before I went to the FOS. I sent this recorded.
Saturday just 1 week after my second letter a cheque for just under £9000.00.
I am still in shock. Original PPi cost front loaded was £6000.00.
I cannot believe how easy it was.
Just make sure you claim yourself, do not use a company to do it for you as they will charge.

9 weeks, 2 letters £9 grand, cant be bad
"banks, they used to call me sir, now they send me hate mail "

Wow thats brilliant. Well done you.:beer::T:T
