Sorry lol, just sent post by mistake before I had finished. She rang santander today and they had a note on file that she had made a complaint to genworth. They then said the usual thing "It was on your statement so you knew about it". They said she should contact the ombudsman. I told her to send a copy of the consumer questionaire to santander then contact the ombudsman. Is there anything she should do

    Hi there
Personally I would ask them to send the decision in writing, and tell them you want the copy of it to send to the FOS, as they would like to see evidence that it was rejected, and that it was the final decision.;)

Just an update, I had a very black and white case with MBNA, I ticked that I didn't want PPC (a clear tick on the credit agreement) and they added it anyway, saying that I had to have it. I sent my FOS questionnaire off in August and MBNA stalled the process all the way until October where they stated I had to wait to the result of the JR. I sent my paperwork off to the FOS.

I had a moment of madness last week and emailed MBNA that I couldn't understand how they could not refund my particular case as it was so straight forward and I produced good evidence.

Nearly fainted just now, looked at my account and they have credited it with nearly £4000 (no interest added, but I won't moan as it would have taken months to a year or more to have gone through the ombudsman). This has reduced my payments greatly :T

Thank you to Di, Amersall et al.......couldn't have done it without you.

    Hi Di,

About a month ago - we keep getting the same response, sorry and that we are busy and can't give us an update. Very frustrating especially with the time we have waited already.

Thank you for your reply! A magic wand would be appreciated!

By the way, should my husband e-mail Lloyds directly and say....something?!! It should be so simple for them to acknowledge the PPI was mis-sold, I think it is the amount of time it was on there (we didn't realise but going back to when he was 18 and living at home) so they probably don't want to pay up.
  • yipeeeeee for me finaly after being put on hold for ppi and making a court application halifax contacted me today to offer me all of my charges plus intrest.the best news is that the ppi i was reclaiming was for a loan that was 11 years old so against the odds im getting all my money.dont give up :):):):):)

Well done on your win :j:j:j:j
Some have had wins as far back as the early 90s (me included) just shows what some banks will do, and what some wont ;)

    Hi hun

I did quite a lot of chasing by e-mail, and it finally got sorted out in the end.
No harm done, go for it and all the best.;)
