The fos in there letter said that the would pay 8% simple interest I have been told they only pay the premiums or the interest is this right ?
Hiya hun
Do you have any paperwork in relation to this account with any figures of what you were paying a month from 1998?
Maybe someone could check them for you, but I would ask the FOS to make sure just in case.
Well done though!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks for the reply, I have sent a request for the insurance and loan details as we never received this from the start and I am going to try get something back. Have looked around the internet forums and came across a few cases of business being told they would not get the loan if they did not take out the insurance.....All Lloyds TSB!! I will keep you updated, thanks again.
Your very welcome and the best of luck.
I am one of those that have been successful via Lloyds loans and Credit Card PPI, fingers crossed for you and look forward to hearing from you again soon.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks for your reply. I think I will try again myself even though there is a court case pending as I am hoping that the fact the form was I believe filled out fraudulantly and this might be a different case. Also the claim company would be taking 25%. Just as a small point if I do it myself would the claims company have any complaint against me as they did say in their letter to tell them if the bank tries to settle without them knowing or are they just wanting their commission? I have not signed any forms or anything with them just sent a letter with the details and explanation asking if they could help. Thanks again.
Hi
I don't want to be telling you the wrong thing here, so I would give claims regulation (Ministry of justice) explain your situation that you have not signed and see if they will know, they should do.

Good luck, please let us know how you get on, cheers.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

So it seems they are underpaying you then, for example, if you were paying £10.40 a month from 1998 to 2004, that would mean you paid to that year = £10.40 x 12 months = 124.80 x 6 years = 748.80 alone, not including when it went up in 2004 and so on.
I would question them on this hun.xxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there,
I have got PPI claims in progress with my Halifax credit card and loan. I sent the questionnaires off about a month ago and within just over a week I received replies for both of them to say they are looking into my complaints. Yes you should ring them and chase them up. I think the complaints telephone number is 08457 25 35 19. Let us know how you get on
yes dont hold your breath anyone with halifax, we send our complaint off end october, heard dribs and drabs and end of december they sent us a letter saying something along the lines of they are sorry there is a delay as they are looking into things and have alot of similar claims and we can now take it to the FOS.
which we are going to do...seems other banks it takes a matter of weeks...halifax ones seem to take agessss0 -

With some spare time I went through old credit card and store card records and wrote template letters. So far after 2 weeks have had 3 letters saying looking into it and one from HFC saying PPI was applied in 1989 and they are offering me a refund of the past 6 years PPI payments. I haven't used the account much in the past few years. Can they only go back 6 years or can I ask them to reconsider a longer period?
I also have a couple of loans, one NatWest and one Barclaycard which are ongoing and have PPI attached. Can I request that the PPI is cancelled without affecting the loan. Also I had previous loans with both these that were paid off but I do not have the paperwork. I was not aware that as self-employed with a pre-existing medical condition there was little point in taking this insurance. Can I ask them to look into those as well?0 -

Hi there
Well done on your success.
If you still hold any paperwork in relation to the account, you could send them copies and ask if they will consider refunding to how far back your paperwork you have goes.
Some policies cover for self employment but not all, you could check the policy booklet details, if you do not have these, they will normally send them free on request, but in regards of your pre med condition at the time of taking this out then I would still give it a go, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
