RBS!
Hi, just a quick update, i'm currently in the process of a mis sell ppi claim with RBS. Their 8 weeks is up on the 13th Dec. Rang them today and apparently my matter still hasn't been allocated a case worker! Last week they said claims are taking from 7-10 weeks, I was hoping to hear something before Christmas...I live in hope lol.
Has anyone had any recent success with RBS?

I had a feeling they might do this! I asked them last week about whether cases were being put on hold and they said no?! I feel another phone call to them may just well be in order.....0 -
my claim was up on 5th dec, and letter turned up today, let me no if you have any joy, i rang this afternoon and was told they are on hold.:eek:0

I got a letter from Black Horse basically saying they didn't agree I was missold the PPI but offering a settlement although no actual figure was mentioned, they told me that if I returned the statement agreeing to the settlement they would be in touch within 8 weeks with a figure, that was the middle of September, I've written twice over the past month (second letter sent 2 weeks ago by recorded delivery) asking what was happening, still waiting a response albeit the weather has delayed mail, what should be my next move?
Hi I am in a similar position with Black Horse, although it was actually the beginning of October, so it has only been 9 weeks. I have called them a few times over the last few weeks for updates and been advised I would definitely hear within the 8 week deadline. On my last couple of calls to them they said it would be dealt with in the next 5 - 7 days (this was last week). I called them today and was put on hold for ages and the lady then advised it had been calculated today. I asked for a figure but she said she couldn't give me one (?) She said it will now take at least 10 days for cheque to be sent and because of the weather it may take a lot longer to reach me.
I called the FOS as they had been dealing with it (although Black Horse were not covered by them at point of sale) They wanted to go the underwriter route but by this point Black Horse had reconsidered.
Anyway the FOS said they would open a new complaint ie that Black Horse have not stuck to the deadline. I did this over the phone today and FOS are sending a letter to Black Horse so hopefully this will get things moving a bit quicker.
Even if you hadn't originally used the FOS for your complaint it may be an idea to contact them. I found them very helpful. Hope this helps!!If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.;)0 -

Donda, if your in financial difficulties/hardship do let the FOS know and request for fast track.

Maybe it would be a good idea to chase them up on the phone, or write yet another letter to inform them if you don't hear from them within a certain timescale you will just continue with the FOS (that's if you want to).

Strangely enough I received a letter from them today but it was just the same letter they sent in September asking me to sign an agreement and saying they would be back in touch within 8 weeks so I called them and apparently that was a mistake, my claim is being actioned and I should hear within 7-10 days0 -

LOL !!!!!! I called them today and was told yeah my claim was being actioned and I would be sent a cheque within 7-10 days and I got hopeful...wont hold me breath seeing it this side of Christmas I guess:rotfl:0
