  • Hi Everyone,

My husband has just received a cheque for just over £400 from Capital one for ppi on his card. He has just received a letter from Mint asking him to respond by the 8th December (to correspondence he has never received!) to enable them to look at his claim. Does anyone know if mint are paying out or are they on hold?

I have not heard from Tesco re my loan and card and I wont even go into how angry i am with Lloyds............. Anyone know what the situation with these is at the moment?

Had my car written of in September, fridge freezer packed up in october, now our car is in the garage with a bill thats likely to be more than we paid for the car!!!

Hoping to have some better luck VERY SOON!!

    Hope everyone is ok,

    Ally xx

    Congratulations!

I would contact the others to make sure, but I assumed they would send a letter to confirm this, so you then had the opportunity to make the complaint to the FOS.

    Good luck.;)

  • HI, newbie here, looking for some advice re PPI reclaim form, I've recieved my account details from cap one, and am in the process of filling in the consumer questionnaire but have hit a problem.
In section B (re signing for PPI), I have a copy of the original application form and I have marked no PPI required on this as my wife and I are both in full time employment and are both covered with full sick pay.
No PPI was paid for the first 15 month's, but was then added without my agreement, my query is how do I fill in section B as the questions don't cover it being added without approval. I do not want to delay the process by any mistakes in completing the questionaire.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

    Hi there

If your too explain this to them in longer terms - write this on a separate piece of paper, then write in question B (Please refer to my letter attached), this way you have it covered.
    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.;)

  • After some considerable time the FOS have contacted me to let me know that RBS will repay my loans PPI plus interest. I called RBS to find out when to expect payment and they said it had been referred back to Lombard (where the loans were from origionally) for processing. Has anyone had a similar situation and if so how long did you have to wait before receiving payment. The loans were paid off some time ago so I don't think there are a massive set of calculations to do.
    Any advice greatly appreciated

    Well done to you.
My claim was rejected by Lombard and the PPI underwritters outright & is now with FOS.
Were the PPI underwritters Pinnacle by any chance?
  • Hi everyone,

Firstly i would just like to say a BIG thankyou :T to everyone on this site for their help and info, without this site and the members i wouldn't have known where to start with reclaiming. Today we received a letter from loans.co.uk offering us compensation on a good will basis for our mis sold ppi. :j
Not sure of the sum just yet as they have to do their calculations but they said it will be a full refund of the ppi premium plus associated interest charged on that premium, so in excess of 4050. :j
Looks like 2011 is going to be a good year for us.
