    Hi everyone,

Firstly i would just like to say a BIG thankyou :T to everyone on this site for their help and info, without this site and the members i wouldn't have known where to start with reclaiming. Today we received a letter from loans.co.uk offering us compensation on a good will basis for our mis sold ppi. :j
Not sure of the sum just yet as they have to do their calculations but they said it will be a full refund of the ppi premium plus associated interest charged on that premium, so in excess of 4050. :j
Looks like 2011 is going to be a good year for us.

    Wow, absolutely fantastic!:T

    Congratulations!

  • I used the information on this site to write to Northern Rock to reclaim PPI which had been sold to me quite forcefully on a £15K loan 5 years ago. I was expecting a long-drawn-out affair and to go to the ombudsman, and although I was fairly sure that I would get something, I was thinking it might be a few hundred pounds (which would have still been welcome).

They've just written back saying they've reviewed my case and they are giving me ALL the money back, AND adding compound interest at 8% - a total of £4467.90. The money will be in my account within 28 days of my reply, so the whole process will have taken less than 3 months. That's a really nice Christmas present!

If anyone's thinking of applying, my advice is just give it a go, there's nothing to lose, and the banks can more than afford it (well, they've got all that insurance for a start!). Good luck!

    Well done to you.
My claim was rejected by Lombard and the PPI underwritters outright & is now with FOS.
Were the PPI underwritters Pinnacle by any chance?

I origionally wrote to Lombard and then got a reply from RBS saying they were looking into my claim. Not suprisingly they rejected it and so I took it to the FOS. It took a while but eventually RBS agreed to refund the PPI plus interest. I am not sure why it has gone back to Lombard as all the correspondance has been with RBS. When I called RBS again yesterday they said my claim was in a queue awaiting calculation. No one is able to say how long this takes though! Good Luck with your claim.

I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for the help and support on this site. I have just received a cheque back from a mis-sold PPI policy for £10,000!!!!! :D:D:D

To say I'm happy is the understatement of the century. I hope you all manage to get your money back (with interest). Hang on in there and keep pestering them until you get back what you deserve!!

I got a letter from Black Horse basically saying they didn't agree I was missold the PPI but offering a settlement although no actual figure was mentioned, they told me that if I returned the statement agreeing to the settlement they would be in touch within 8 weeks with a figure, that was the middle of September, I've written twice over the past month (second letter sent 2 weeks ago by recorded delivery) asking what was happening, still waiting a response albeit the weather has delayed mail, what should be my next move?

    Hi Kay

Maybe it would be a good idea to chase them up on the phone, or write yet another letter to inform them if you don't hear from them within a certain timescale you will just continue with the FOS (that's if you want to).

Good luck and hope you hear soon and well done!

    RBS!

Hi, just a quick update, i'm currently in the process of a mis sell ppi claim with RBS. Their 8 weeks is up on the 13th Dec. Rang them today and apparently my matter still hasn't been allocated a case worker! Last week they said claims are taking from 7-10 weeks, I was hoping to hear something before Christmas...I live in hope lol.

Has anyone had any recent success with RBS?
