  • Hi

I'm a researcher at the BBC. We're currently looking into making a short film about the mis-selling of PPI. If anyone would like to speak to us about it, please call me on 0161 244 3994.

    Thanks

    Ben McCarthy
  • Re above post:

It's for a programme called Rip Off Britain and any initial discussions are off the record and kept in complete confidentiality.

    Thanks

    Ben

    Hi Ben

    Thanks for posting up.

May I ask if you also emailed the MSE team to ask for permission to post this? if they allow this they will possibly add a link for you.

    Thought I should mention it.

    Cheers.;)

  • hi, havent been on for a while!! had money back off EGG which was quick and straight forward!

currently have an ongoing claim with MINT, they had my letter in august, and have been sending me letters saying its been investigated etc, the last letter was 10 weeks ago, saying it will take 8 weeks for a decision, so i phoned them today and they say that due to the backlog of requests it will take longer, and that my case is going to be made a decision soon, and that i will have to wait a bit longer, is this acceptable?? anyone else had problems with MINT??
  • Hi
Downloaded the letter for PPI reclaim as I am and was self employed when I took a loan for £8000 out with EGG four and a half years ago and was also told at the time I could not have the load without PPI.
Filled it in and sent it off to EGG recorded delivery
Got a reply 10 days later to say they had received by letter and would look into it and would get back to me within 8 weeks.
3 weeks later got a letter saying they had looked into it and could find no evidence of mis selling of PPI but as a good will gesture would refund my premiums paid plus interest total of £3850 if I filled in the acceptance form and sent it back and they would process it within 14 days
Filled in form (Just do you want it paying off your loan or into your bank account) and sent it back recorded delivery last Friday.
Checked by bank today and £3850 has been paid in YES A RESULT!!!!!!!!
All for the cost of a couple of stamps, thanks Moneysupermarket for the downlaod letter AAA***

    Hi Jonny
It seems they have backlogs, you can of course wait that little longer if you want to, or complain to the fos, please be aware it may also take some time with the fos as well, due to backlogs.

Wishing you luck with this, please keep us informed, cheers.;)
