You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

    hello everybody
having waited for 7 weeks from my initial claim for mis sold ppi with hfc i got on the phone today to find out what was happening i was very concerned whether they would freeze my claim as being told in many quarters and was pleasantly surprised as the lady on the phone told me that i was made an offer and the letter was sent out yesterday and it was for £965.00 which was roughly what i made it out to be , mightily pleased but a bit concerned whether they have any ground to freeze my claim even after being given the final response as i dont trust these lot, anyways a big thank you to this website which made it so easy and a big thank you to di who patiently responded every time i posted here, di i think u deserve a big hug,

    Well done to you.

They will only be freezing back new complaints, and any that have been resolved and accepted for refunds must continue.;)

    God luck with Natwest too!:)

    Your very welcome. X

  • Hi there im new to this but have read sucess stories well done to everyone who got their money back!!!! I think i might be too late again as with my bank charges, the FOS sent a letter on my behalf 4 weeks ago and i sent consumer questionaire but had no response from hsbc who i had the loan with in 2007. I dont know what to do next can anyone help or do i just sit and wait?
  • When is the freeze likely to happen? Ive a couple to do for two friends who were missold. My parents are waiting on a SAR from Lloyds due on Oct 26th. Also Di what do you think of our chances with FOS over underwriter route? It's so frustrating x:)

    Hiya hope your well.:)

Some of the banks have already frozen handling complaints, but the ongoing ones and ones waiting for refunds is still ongoing. So only new complaints are with-held at this time.

I am still waiting to hear on mine in regards of the underwriter, but at leasts its passed to be seen by an adjudicator and not turned away.
Mine have been with the FOS via underwriter from last October 2009 and it was some weeks ago it was passed on to an adjudicator.;)x

    Hiya

Lloyds have, but not Cap one bank to what I am aware of.

It should only be that of new complaints that are frozen and not ongoing and settlement offers.
