Another win for me - £570 this time from Egg credit card. Got the letter stating what they were offering before i got the confirmation letter that they were looking into my claim!!

How ironic - as i am typing this there is an advert on tv for 'Money Boomerang' who are offering their services for PPI reclaim - HA!
  • I've been reading these pages a while and decided last week to try and reclaim Ppi on an A&L loan i took out for 10k from 2004 to 2006 (paid off early). Well good news, I posted the FOS questionnaire last Thursday and got a phone call yesterday offering me £1911.33 which is just fab as it’s money I thought was long gone, it’s going to pay for our xmas and help us finish off our bathroom and redecorate our hall. I’m thrilled, big thanks to everyone on here. Going to start on my Boyf’s finances next, Halifax and black Horse here I come.

    • What were you reclaiming: Credit Card Protection
    • Who was the provider: Egg
    • How much did you get back: £1,000
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After posting the FOS Questionnaire
Am naturally very chuffed as Egg have not been so 'helpful' when it has come to my loans.

Just waiting for my cheque now :T

Thank you all, couldn't have done it without you

Good luck - me too with Mint for approx 10 years worth.

Same here taken out in 1999, has the FOS on the phone today asking a few questions to do with the application, which feels a little positive I suppose.

Good luck MattyA, keep in touch with what happens:)

  • hello everybody
having waited for 7 weeks from my initial claim for mis sold ppi with hfc i got on the phone today to find out what was happening i was very concerned whether they would freeze my claim as being told in many quarters and was pleasantly surprised as the lady on the phone told me that i was made an offer and the letter was sent out yesterday and it was for £965.00 which was roughly what i made it out to be , mightily pleased but a bit concerned whether they have any ground to freeze my claim even after being given the final response as i dont trust these lot, anyways a big thank you to this website which made it so easy and a big thank you to di who patiently responded every time i posted here, di i think u deserve a big hug,
now waiting to here from natwest n keepin my fingers crossed.
