Thanks.
GB are a claiming company and had my alarm bell ringing when the initial £50 was dropped to £10 when I said I couldn't make payment till this Friday!?
I think this is something I will try going at alone then.
Thanks again and I will post with any further queries and the outcome of my claim0 -
I have been made an offer from FirstPlus but they have said that the interest that has accrued should be added to my loan as they would not be following the FOS guidelines. Does anyone know if that is correct? I personally think they are pulling a fast one!
By the way this website is brilliant0 -
i recieved a payment on monday for £1997 from lloyds:beer::beer::beer: thanks to all who helped on this site
i also recieved a letter from fos today saying that lloyds have agreed to refund ppi on a credit card:j:j this is great news becase it has being going on for 16 months,,,i thought it would take longer becase the last i heard from fos lloyds had not replyed to the adjudicator decision and it was in the queue for the ombudsman, but they have now agreed with the adjudicator at last.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi there, you will get full redress from fp as per fos guide lines. You will get ppi monthly payments made to date back with the interest on those payments back to you,The total ppi comes off your loan balance, but the interest they are talking about is the interest that they took off your loan when they took the monthly ppi.Because they have to put your account back without ppi then that interest should not have reduced your loan as it should not have been there.Hope you understand this.x
That makes complete sense - thank you very much.0 -
Thank you Martin! First I reclaim all my bank charges from Barclays, now huge success with my PPI charges! :j:beer::j
I sent a covering letter and completed questionnaire two months ago to my credit card company, Smile.co.uk. I got a reply after a month saying they are dealing with the matter, making enquires but will get back to me no later than 28 September (a few days before I could go to the FOS)
Today I received a letter informing me that, following the investigation into my PPI complaint that the bank are prepared to offer a full refund of the premiums paid, the interest applied to the premiums and an additional 8% interest on these amounts totalling £7087.21. This all dates back to early 2004 when the credit card was taken out! I have no memory of ever agreeing to the PPI being added to my account, and until a few months ago had no idea I could claim them back!
I urge anybody else in a similar situation to at least try to reclaim, I got all that money back and interest all for the cost of a first class stamp!
Thank you again Martin0
