Thanks Martin you are a star. On following your guidelines and letter templates I wrote to Egg with regard to my current loan. Within a week I received a settlement offer of 5000 plus. Following this success I wrote a further letter to Egg with regard to PPI on my credit card and again within 5 days received a settlement offer of 2500. I accepted both offers immediately. I cannot believe it was that simple. Thank you for the advise you offer and keep up the good work.
Well done to you on your success, Many Congratulations!:T:beer::jThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have had a letter from ism@rt 6 weeks ago which said i was still responsible for their fees. i must say since i emailed them in response to that stating the date and time and header of the email stating i no longer wished to deal with them ive had nothing. regarding welcome finance i can have them done for breaching the data protection act but all i want is to be reimbursed for my costs of calls time etc as i have spent hours trying to get this sorted and as they were at fault i feel they should pay for this! am i asking too much??? the manager of welcome finance received a letter from me giving him 10 days to respond with regards to my complaint but nothing and you spend an hour trying to get through to them to be told im sorry mrs beecham he is busy!!!!! arggggggh its driving me mad i just want my money and an explanation as to why this big mistake happened0

Hi and welcome Tom.
So this is ongoing then?
They have a lenders code to follow - on how to treat customers fairly, google that in and you should find some details on that also.
They should not discriminate you reclaiming what is rightfully yours.
Are you able to post what bank this is?

Using your templates I attempted to claim back PPI on a Loan currently running from Barclays.
It took a while but today I received a cheque for £2758.86, which included £209.43 interest. It involved taking out a new loan but that was no problem and obviously the payments are a lot less and the period has not increased.
The final letter from Barclays said it was all my fault and I was kept informed of what i was getting into and was given ample oportunity to cancel in the early days of the loan. However they could not find the paperwork associated with my loan and decided to find in my favour.
Thanks for all your advice and a brilliant site. I am telling all my friends

Mines been running for well over two years now
Got a letter from ombudsman last week saying that Lloyds have accepted, and do I wish to accept their offer. I've not had a monetary offer... and the details that ombudsman sent don't cover my case, as my credit card has been closed for yonks... and still with an outstanding balance.
I sent the letter back anyway accepting, didn't see what else I could do. Spose I'm just waiting to hear from Lloyds now as to how much, if anything, they will pay me.
Can't even find my original paperwork where I worked out how much I had paid in PPI as its that long ago since I started the reclaim procedure!!0 -

Just to let people know that this morning, the day after the initial 8 weeks were up, I have received an offer from HFC!
I only sent back their questionnaire, so for the sake of two first class stamps, I've got back nearly £4.5k!0
