    Successful PPI reclaiming:

Blackhorse - claimed £1500+int; offered and accepted £762.27:j
    Legal and General - claimed £3780+int; received £4403-15 :j
    Loans.Co.Uk - claimed £2850+int; received £3322-50 :j

I followed the advice on this website and used the sample letters. I wrote one letter to each of the companies and without any further problems received offers from both Legal and General and Loans.co.uk more or less immediately. Blackhorse took a little longer and another letter but still over the moon with the refund. Without this website I would not have known how or where to start but now feel like I could take on the world, financially, that is!

Thanks to Martin and everyone who posts. :money::beer:
:T:T well done to you :money:

I've had several loans with Black Horse over the years but don't have any details now. If I send in a SAR request I know that it gives details for all the accounts that you have with a company - but would it show whether PPI had been applied to them or not?

    Hi evie

Yes I am sure something will be enclosed in relation of PPI.;)

If they send details of the loans by way of the agreements (mostly they do but only going back 6 years although some have had going back further) then you would tell from them or if they do not, there may be other information enclosed.

Sorry Marshallka missed your post, you have given more in detail though, cool.:D;)X

    Thanks for the advice folks!
  • Have visited the site only once and got all the information I needed to make a claim against AWD Home Finace. Sent one letter off about 2 weeks ago requesting a refund of the ppi that was added to my mortgage, (£8565) which we took out in 2005. Today received an offer from L&G for £10,511.62 not sure if this is correct but am going to check as they calculated the interest at the mortgage rate of 4.99%

Funny thing is I made a claim about the fact that it was a single premium, but they are saying that I was'nt eligible because I receive an occupational pension.

You are covered under this insurance if, on the start date:
    • You are over 18 but under 65 at the End Date (all cover ceases at normal Retirement Age which means the state pension age as defined by the Department for Work and Pensions or the date You retire from work, or You receive an occupational pension, whichever is sooner)
So 1 down 2 more to go, Barclays & Tesco these are currently being looked into, will post if I get a reply from these 2, fingers crossed.

Well done on your win :T fingers crossed for the welcome one ;)
Pity you had to use a claims co  are you doing the welcome one on your own/ if you are you will get all the help and advice you need on this site x

Thank you! No, I'm doing this one on my own. £1222 in various insurances on a £2000 loan plus silly interest paid on it? Wont make that mistake again!

Good luck to everyone claiming ppi, especially from unwelcome finance, and well done to those with success... Fingers crossed
    Debts remaining: £0/£16000
PPI reclaimed: Halifax £2300, Welcome Finance - £2400
