Hi Guys

I have just been given an ajudecator (after 12 months wait!!) from the FOS for a cliam v MBNA credit cards, can anyone give me a time frame of how long it takes from now ? Any advice would be great

Hi Leon

That is great news that its been passed on to an adjudicator.:T

If straight forward, call it about 8 weeks, if you don't hear anything by then, contact them for an update, good luck, hope it resolves at the adjudicating stage, fingers crossed.;)

2 years since first submitting my complaint to RBS (Direct Line) for PPI misselling, I have received a cheque from them after having gone through a very slow FOS (partly due to high level discussions with RBS which put all cases on hold) and an even slower Adjudicator. After this long wait the cheque was lower than expected possibly due to having a made a full and final settlement in Oct 2006 leaving a small balance to be written off which sort of ties in the with the shortfall. Waiting for them to get back to me with an explanation.

Second claim (joint) won with RBS (same time frames) awaitng payment by RBS (dealt with a far more efficient Adjudicator). Not as big a win as Direct Line but every penny counts nowadays!!

Eternally grateful for the help and encouragement on the forums and finally a partial success in the Direct Line case. Woop woop!!

Just a little ray of hope on RBS speed in refunding.

We sent our RBS joint claim acceptance back to the FOS last Monday and have had the money in our account today. Also down to Adjudicator who didn't wait 3 weeks before sending acceptance form on to RBS unlike Adjudicator dealing with Direct Line complaint.

Yay, that was fast!!:j

Please help!!
to cut a long story short i was mis sold ppi on two seperate loans from LTSB, I sent off your template letter adding my reasons for wanting To reclaim, anyway they accepted and agreed to refund plus the 8% interest.
I signed the forms and sent them back one on the 15th july 2010 and the other on the 19th july 2010, the letter stated it may take up to 28 days for the payment to be processed.
so i waited and after 28 days called to find no calculations had even been done!! they fobbed me off with another week, so i called tuesday to be told calculations have still not been done and told because friday is the new deadline to call back friday if it has not been completed, well i still have heard nothing and will be calling them in the morning but would like some help with what i can say to get them to pull their finger out!!
im doubting they will have it completed tomorrow but just want the money i am rightfully owed!!
• I claimed for mis-selling PPI against an Egg Loan to pay off my Egg credit card which at the time I was having trouble maintaining.

After seeing numerous adverts on the television to reclaim PPI I was prompted to give it a go. Having read the small print on a lot of those advertising to do the ‘hard’ work for you I took to the moneysavingexpert site.

After reading through the simple to follow instructions and using the templates I soon had a letter of complaint off to Egg in respect of a mis-sold PPI for £4800. Within 12 days I had an acknowledgement letter from Egg saying they would look into my complaint.

Only last night I had marked on my calendar the 8 week period Egg had to respond to my complaint, when this morning I was pleased to open a letter from Egg.

Although stating they could find no evidence to support my mis-selling complaint they were willing to offer me a good will settlement. Their offer of a refund of the premium along with interest came to £6658, which I was more than happy to settle for. If I had gone for those advertising on the television I would have lost at least £1650, if not more, of that. The hard work I had to put in was more or less done for me by Martin Lewis’s site, OK so I did have to buy a stamp and post a letter. From start to receipt of offer was 3 weeks 2 day, I’ll just wait for the cheque to arrive now.

Many thanks moneysavingexpert.com ! :money:

Hi there

I would contact the email dept here:
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

Tell them enough it enough, they have had more than ample time, and your still waiting.

Lots have been in the same position as yourself with lloyds, and I know they never rush paying out, it will happen but I would keep on at them all the time, good luck and well done to you anyway.
