Travelex Supercard
Comments

Yeah, thanks but no thanks Travelex. It worked perfectly when I used it in Germany last year but it was so problematic in the Philippines recently. The fee is the final nail in the not-so-supercard coffin.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

Supercard is dead.
2.99% is absolutely outrageous. The old Cash Passport Globes only charge 1.49% and FairFX with their 1.4% + £1 ATM will be cheaper for any withdrawal over £65!
And then there's Clarity...0 -
And they are still using the 'most people preferred to use it for purchases' line to everybody complaining on twitter.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

2.99% !!!
Like most of you here, I used the card formerly known as 'supercard' mainly for ATM withdrawals.
I too had a few issues in the Philippines last year, basically down to which bank the ATM belonged too.
Back to the Clarity now then!0 -
I tried to use mine just once, in an ATM in Singapore, and it failed. Now, with the charge for cash it's even more a complete waste of time.digital0

I didn't trust it in shops being a pilot so I used it mostly at ATMs, not sure there story adds up, but then they have to make money somehow0
-
Never used it in an atm so not fussed about the charge, only used it for foreign online transactions and in shops and restaurants abroad:beer:0

I have no plans to use it and I work for them"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

What a joke.
It's biggest advantage was the ability to withdraw cash at ATMs.
With a £15 charge for a £500 withdraw, it's a joke!
Not for me.
Hell I only get charged 1.5% for ATM withdrawls using my Santander account!0 -
I'm one of the ones that would have given them data in terms of electronic usage, as I used it heavily for paying for things online.
That being said, I also went around South America with it for 6 months and you can't pay using a card in most places, so must have withdrawn over £5,000 from ATMs.0
