The only concern I would have is this - if there are no fees etc how will they cover their costs of producing the cards and the infrastructure to associate cards to it, never mind make a profit?

There must be a catch with Travelex's rates or something?

The whole pre-registration thingy has been a shamble. Why did I have to register in February when anybody can download an app and have their card?

Not sure if its because its such a new app or not, but on Apple App Store the app doesn't appear in search results when searching for Supercard or Travelex.

However if you open Safari or Chrome on your iPhone and visit the supercard.io website and follow the link they have there it will launch App Store and allow you to download it.

Just downloaded, haven't signed up, will do so tomorrow.

Because if you've pre-registered then you supposedly get priority.

Though as it can't seem to verify my identity electronically I'm not allowed one at all - which is pretty annoying after following it for so long waiting to get it! Though as they don't work with Amex it probably won't work out beneficial to me anyway.

Has anyone had any registration issues? I can get into the app but it doesn't like my details which I have used for 15 years without a problem. Does anyone know if you can register over the phone? Thanks :-)

The server is just very busy. Keep trying and it should eventually go through! Worked for me!

This sounds really good. I can't see this being long term as there is no profit and as Martins stated travelex seem to be doing this just for the personal spend info so imagine they'll change it eventually. Even if they added 0.1% I'd be happy....

App keeps throwing me out with "Check internet connection" message. Now getting whoops looks like something has gone wrong try again later.


I also preregistered when the details were first issued about this card - what was the point.


Finally got in to the app - advises to follow @SupercardUK on Twitter and "We'll email you shortly with what to expect". Let's see what happens now.
