Whereas I registered 3 months ago, and this would save me probably £100 per month.
Ultimately this was a trial and should never have been sent in a mass email campaign.
would it save you £100 a month over the halifax clarity card?
I didnt know about it till this morning, not sure you can balme MSE though, I think travelex should take the blame for not being able to deliver0 -

How about you get off your incredibly arrogant and self righteous high horse and spend this time researching an alternative instead of throwing a hissy fit.
It's incredibly easy to get more or less the same benefits as this card by opening certain bank and credit card accounts.
If you've thrown away £1.2k a year then you're the fool, not MSE.0 -
Don't believe all the hype. Martin's summary page for the card is inaccurate.
He states when the spot rate for USD was 1.514 he has for a spend of $500, supercard @ £330 and halifax clarity @ £332
However if you compare rates on the mastercard (halifax clarity) https://www.mastercard.com/global/currencyconversion/ with visa (supercard) http://www.visaeurope.com/making-payments/exchange-rates
you will see on any given date, the mastercard rate is much better than the visa rate:
e.g.
11/5/2015 m/c 1.559, visa 1.51973
8/5/2015 m/c 1.5422 visa 1.5162
so in the example above a spend of $500 on 11/5 would be 320.72 on halifax clarity and 329.01 on supercard - so supercard is not the cheapest!
Furthermore supercard (like halifax clarity) will pass on any atm charges made by the machine overseas so there is no gain there either!
Finally you have to give supercard access to you credit/debit cards - I wonder what protection and trust is there?
I do realise that you will be charged interest from day 1 of ATM withdrawls with the Halifax Clarity card, however this can be reduced to virtually nil by transferring enough to cover it on the day in question via Internet banking.
Yes Halifax Clarity is a credit card and not everyone will get it, but I definitely put supercard way down my list!0 -
I ordered one as a backup for my Clarity. I can't see it saving much, if any, money.0

I'm stuck on the security submission page...I'm not happy with the idea that Travelex already has my email, phone number, DOB and address if I don't get a card, but I'm sure as Hell not going to sit by my phone and resubmit every 2 mins the error message comes up, I've got better things to do with my time this evening - anyone else think the same?0

Can you get a card for your spouse ?0

Surely you are not using existing options as effectively as you could be then?!
Taking Martin's article as truth, £100 p/month saving over clarity equates to $25,000 spend/cash or €50,000 a month... And that's assuming you don't pay off Clarity before it statements, which would be wise if you're dealing with such sums...
I make about $500 of transactions a month, so this will save me enough money over the year to make it worthwhile.
(PS got my acceptance e-mail about 7pm after around 8 hours of trying!)0 -
The App experience is truly appalling! Unwieldy, address lookup doesn't work and neither does verification.

Great I now seem to have two! I was trying to register on two different devices (to increase my chances) using two different email addresses.
I've now got an email in each account saying my card is in its way. Ive emailed them saying I don't want two not sure if that's a good idea or not they'll probably cancel both.
Chat on HUKD is that it seems to be more successful on Android than iPhone. Anecdotally that's my experience. Tried a few times today on the iPhone with no joy. Borrowed a relatives android handset this evening and it went through on the second attempt. That said the iPhone must have been successful at some point because I have the email. Never got the success message on the iPhone though.0
