I imagine a lot of people with the old card won't bother reading the terms of the new release and will get caught out with this new fee0
-
The new 2.99% fee on ATM withdrawals makes this card pointless as it offers no advantage over the Halifax Clarity card. Glad I noticed it in their email - they didn't make it clear for such a major change from the pilot.0

To be fair to Travelex they made the 2.99% charge on ATM withdrawals fairly clear. I'm with everyone else though - free ATM withdrawal was the main reason I signed up for the pilot. Without this I might as well just use my clarity card.0

Likewise, I've just applied for a Clarity.0

Not what we signed up for is it.
I got the email about 30mins ago. I will get the new card but will only use it when ordering online for things in Euros and other currencies.0 -
Looks like the new version has just launched:beer:0

clarity it is! 3% is ridiculous.5.41 kWp System, E-W. Installed Nov 2017

1-1.5% like the old Travelex Cash Passport Globe would be acceptable. 3% and some expletives come to mind.
Now we know why they had to cancel the old Beta cards. As I speculated earlier in the thread, they changed suppliers. They are now using Wire Card Solutions to issue the cards rather than Tuxedo.0 -
what a disappointment, I only used the card in a cash point.
I expect most people did whatever travelex say this is now a pretty poor card with better alternatives.0 -

Despite what they say in their email, I suspect most people did, which is why they are charging now.During the pilot, we saw that most of you preferred using Supercard to pay for things, rather than to withdraw money from an ATM. We wanted you to be able to keep spending on your new card without fees and charges*. To do this, we’ve had to add a small 2.99% charge* when you use your Supercard at an ATM, to cover our costs – but with Supercard accepted in over 35 million places worldwide, we hope you won’t need to!
I only used it to withdraw money from ATMs.
The app doesn't work for me so I can't apply. It was always a buggy pile of poo.0
