The redemption paperwork was missing for my order too.
I just saved a copy of the web pages of the offer plus I kept the emails of the order - the order confirmation emails will have the redemption information it (something like £360 by redemption).
And for peace of mind I emailed them and they told me the redemption dates so I had an extra email for my diary.
ADDED: I just checked my order email - the redemption information was not on there for the M2YD order but is on the Phones4u order email - they just operate differently
Just phone or email them to confirm - plus note that each order comes with 3 months insurance cover free but after 3 months you have to pay insurance premium - if you dont want insurance, cancel it by phoning the insurance company (they usually try to fog you with ideas of identity theft if your phone is lost - aliens might eat you alive etc - dont take any of it and just tell them to cancel insurance)0 -
Thanks hotkee..This is exactly the problem I am facing.
I did receive redemption offer detail in the order confirmation mail. Also the customer care did confirm the redemption offer in email along with date and the amount.
Still I was little worried if they will honour the email confirmation or not?
Secondly I was wondering why did they not send the offer details in post when they sent all other papers.
Reading through your answer it feels that it is common problem with the paperwork and they would honour the email confirmation for the redemption.
have you received the cashback on your order?

I got my first cheque (claim date 27th Jan) and I recevied the cheque around 7th Feb which was quick.
Second cheque was claim date 27th March - I sent it in on 27th - last Thursday phoned and checked - lady said it had been processed and I should get the cheque - waiting at the moment - I just sent them email to double check :-). Oh and send it signed for delivery.
with the claims you have 60 days to send it in from claim date so even if my second was not processed (and it has been they told me) - I would be able to resend in new form.
I normally make a colour photocopy of the bill for myself as a backup - in fact I scanned my bill to my pc too. "I could have done espiponage work I could :-)"
So keep copy of the bill in case.
The final quirk of MY2D is that when they first send out the claim form or if you request a claim form in advance - they tend to send you multiple copies - I got 11 envelopes with the same claim form in it - told them they were wasting their money and postage - chap said he would make a note to tell someone.0 -
I sent another email to MY2D and he has emailed me that a letter with redemption details will be sent to me.
Thanks for the support0 -
PAYT porting say it's possible, but they can't do it for the next couple of weeks as they're moving to a new system called "Crystal"
Contract porting tell me it used to be possible, but not now or in the future because of the move to Crystal.
Watch this space....
And now they're saying I could only have done it in the first 14 days of the contract0 -
Hi guys
My claim date is 12th March and I got my bills for 5th March and 5th April. Which bill would I need to send through?
Thanks
P.S I also have mislaid a cheque is it worth asking them to reissue it?
Regards
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
The one dated 5th March coz its the latest as at the claim date, although you can send the 5th April one if you want, it wont make any difference.
Make it quick, you only have 60 days from the claim date to send it in - prob upto 11th May.
Oh send it signed for delivery by royal mail.0 -
Hi all,
My order for a vodafone cashback contract through MTYD was rejected. Confirmed from MTYD that the order was rejected by Vodafone - and possible reason is "failed credit rating".
I probably should have let it go, but I felt annoyed and had to order my credit score. So, I ordered my credit score through creditexpert.co.uk - and the score is "Good". No failed or late payments, limited credit card use, balance always paid in full, did not use overdrafts or loans in last 10 years. Used 8 different mobile phone contracts in last 10 years - never had problems - so I am bit surprised. Can anyone tell me how Vodafone does these credit checks??
I'm really glad you posted your comments, adgupta.
The same thing happened to me yesterday with MTYD - hence my first post on this site!
My credit history is practically a carbon copy of yours. I have never been refused credit/contracts for anything before.
9 days go I applied for a deal that is completely free after cash back by redemption with MTYD via onecompare.com:-
A free Sony T303 phone with Vodaphone anytime 30 sim (12 months @ £30 then £360 cash back by redemption - still advertised today on their site).
I reckon they have realised that I would cancel the £6.99 monthly phone insurance immediately (as I always do) and that I would definitely claim the cash back timeously, therefore there is absolutely no profit for any of the companies involved.
The only other reason I can think of is that they weren't happy that, until a couple of days ago, I had 3 current mobile phone contracts all in my name (Virgin for my use, O2 and Vodaphone phones/sims that are used by my kids). The O2 phone/sim deal that I have currently had for about 3 months came from Phones4u of which MTYD is a trading division.
I'm annoyed with MTYD because they didn't automatically inform me that I'd been refused timeously; I only found out when I emailed them yesterday to query the delay in receiving my new phone - after cancelling my £10 Virgin 300 mins/300 texts package before the start of the next billing period in anticipation of there being no problems :mad:0 -
It has absolutely nothing to do with them not wanting you to get the money etc - I've had loads of simultaneous contracts with them (currently 4). Networks themselves determine how many contracts a person can have with them; since you have at least one with Vodafone already from what you've said, it's entirely possible that Vodafone has restricted you to one for reasons you are most unlikely to discover.0

Having just completed my 4th and final claim with OSPS (all successful I might add) i'm looking for couple of new contracts - but the deals are a bit pants at the moment.
I'm porting a number so while M2YD do have good cashback deals the porting exclusion on their best ones (vodaphone) is a big stumbling block. I'm after 300min 100-200 txt and an everyday phone (currently have the nokia 6300).
Having looked at the thread M2YD seem the most reputable at the moment for cashbacks.
Any suggestions for a decent deal?I do hope you're telling the truth?0
