12 months cashback on a 12 month contract is back-wasn't there a few days ago, so I'd snap it up if you're in the market for one.

Was in fact there two days ago. I prefer not to publicise deals though (they don't last long and if people can't find them for themselves they shouldn't be doing them anyway! It usually takes 2-3 days before people start announcing them on here. I suppose two days is better than nothing!

I still haven't heard back from Vodafone whether you can transfer a number to a PAYT sim then move it to the Vodafone contract on connection - is it urban (forum) legend or has anyone had success?

They have other phones on 10/11 month free/12 month contracts - worth sacrificing a month or two for a better phone ... Quidco cashback covers nearly a month anyway ... decisions decisions (but only if I can PAC my number, otherwise I remain on the Three PAC monthly roundabout keeping requesting a new code as the other runs out.

    Many thanks

Not cashback, but you also have to pay for the phone AND it's a 24 month contract.

Hi was that in reference to my question? if so i didnt really want cashback tbh so happy with paying the £40, it's a £200 everyhwere else so not a bad price really. 2 years is ok too as don't like many phones at the best of times and have had this current one a year and a half so would have to live with it!
  • Yes, it was!

Anyone had success porting with Voda/M2YD?
Or know of any cashback deals with (relatively) good firms who allow Porting and have decent cashback deals?

No luck - giving up and will just send a text out telling everyone that we need to that the number has changed, plus leave a message on the answerphone of the old number (as transferred onto PAYG to close the Three account - retentions didn't play ball).

I haven't managed to find anyone allowing porting to Vodafone online (allegedly not technically possible with the system they are currently using). Dialaphone had a half decent deal on T-mobile last weekend - worked out at £120 for the 12 month contract, minus £60 Quidco (and an extra £20 cashback last weekend) - £40 for the year (which could be recovered by selling the phone - a Sony Ericsson T303!). Dialafone are owned by Phones4u.

    Hi there,

Both myself and my wife took M2YD deals last September ish, so we're now coming up to the end of the 6 month period and need to do some sending of redemption certificates etc.

The way I read M2YD's T&C's I will receive the certificate in the post once I hit the relevant period (first is at 6 months), then I have 60 days to get it back to them - so in effect I am looking to receive the first one at 6 months, and return it pre 8 months.

But reading a couple of other posts they read like the certificates were all received soon after the mobile phone, then just sent back to M2YD at the correct times??

Please can someone answer my simple silly questions! Thanks.
  • Redemption certificates for M2YD should arrive within 30 days prior of your first claim date. I've always had to give a prod at the start of this period.

Phones4U certificates should arrive within within the first month of taking your contract out. Again, you may need to prod.
  • considering a nokia 6300 deal from MYTD, will the phone be locked?
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
