I ported my O2 No to a Voda PAYT and then ordered a contract Voda via Mobiles 2 your door, Then called vodafone porting and put my PAYT no in to the contract No. SO It can be done.

Ill let you know how the first cashback goes but I have already got it in writing to day its fine from M2YD

If you'd researched this thread, or asked them, you'd know that you can't do it with M2YD contracts! So no point complaining here really - sorry mate that's just the way it is!

    Sorry your wrong SId!!!

I bought a Vodafone contract phone from phones4u/mobiles2your door.
They dont allow you to port your number directly, so I ported my number to Vodafone PAYT thinking they would let me transfer the number across to the contract phone.
They still will not allow me to transfer the number.

You need to do it via vodafone. Ring porting. Phones4U said it would affect cashback, but M2YD are fine with it.

    Hi

I received my phone from mobiles2yourdoor and i am with vodaphone, they sent vodaphone direct debit mandate, i have been told to send this to vodaphone, did anyone else receive the mandate and did you have to send it to vodaphone themselves???
  • Look more closely. It isn't a mandate that you have to send unless something very odd has happened. I also doubt they'd have despatched the phone is there wasn't one already set up. You are referring to the slip at the bottom of the Vodafone agreement - whoever told you to send it anywhere is wrong.

    Thanks for your reply.

The direct debit says: Customer Agreement and has all my deatils, name, address, mobile number.

It also says right at the bottom of the page, Instructions to your bank to pay by Direct Debit and this has my bank sort code and account number and there is a part for me to sign and date.

I dont know whether to send this or not.
  • I know. Not.

Its just like a "for your reference" copy.

File it and forget about it.

Personally - I had to jog MTYD's memory about the 1st claim form - which arrived about 4 days later.

I submitted a web printout of my qualifying period bill, via recorded delivery and recieved my forst portion of cashback yesterday, roughly 3 weeks after I sent it off.

Second claim form attached with cheque.

Can't grumble at all to be honest. So far.
  • I purchased a cashback deal with M2YD last week and rec'd phone + paperwork by Royal Mail SD two days later. In the customer agreement I was issued a mobile number by Vodafone.
In M2Yd's welcome letter, it stated that I would be connected within 48 hours. This did not happen. I gave it a further two days and then contacted Vodafone to inform them that the simcard was not activated.
After taking all my details they came back to me to tell me that the number I was given has been lost in their data base and have now got me up and running by giving me a new number.
Will this affect my cashback claims bearing in mind that my new number won't be on M2YD's records?
  • Why not email them and get the answer in writing? In my experience they are more than helpful.
