I cannot be sure for certain, as I haven't taken a deal with this lot personally, but I am fairly sure that if they phrase things so precisely there is a reason. The reason deals are different on different tariffs at the same price is because the networks sometimes subsidise some tariffs more than others, even if the user pays the same/month. It stands to reason that the deal is better on one £40 deal because they get paid more for it. If you change deal, the odds are that the network will take that extra money back from the dealer, who would not then be able afford to pay you the extra. So saying many dealers have suffered because of the cashback fallout, so tend to play fairer, although the occasional nudge can be required. Personally I wouldn't risk it, unless you do get a positive response in writing from them.
Well so far, I have one CSA telling me on the phone that I can and another one has written to me to tell me that I can't. I asked them to reconcile the two and give me a definite answer. We'll see what they say. I'm sending my phone back in the meantime and I've noticed that they've also now reduced the Quidco cashback :-(0 -
Has anyone taken out any contracts recently, did you get the claim forms with the phone ?0
-
I got the claim form a few days later in the post.
Well I can confirm that I have Ported my O2 number to a voda PAYT sim, ordered a M2YD phone, Then ported in my PAYT number in to the contract phone. I have a letter from M2YD to say that this will not effect CB (although P4U were unable to guarentee this when I wanted to order from them) anyway it is in writing. So far so good. The final step will be CB. But i am confident as they do not appear to be an underhand company (yet!!!) but if any probs I will go straight for the LBA / MCOL route.:j  :j0 -
I would be ok with them until they prove otherwise. In my experience they sort any problems out without threats, that alone recourse to the courts (unlike you-know-who). Of course, you need to cover yourself just in case - and because you-know-who proved if required that companies can and do change their spots drastically when a fool takes charge!0

I bought a Vodafone contract phone from phones4u/mobiles2your door.
They dont allow you to port your number directly, so I ported my number to Vodafone PAYT thinking they would let me transfer the number across to the contract phone.
They still will not allow me to transfer the number.0 -
If you'd researched this thread, or asked them, you'd know that you can't do it with M2YD contracts! So no point complaining here really - sorry mate that's just the way it is!The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!
