No, it won't. It's the tariff that matters.0

How can you follow groundrules you don't know about? I have been warning people for well over a year about cashback deals and took the time and trouble to set out a lot of vital information:-

As for days of research; I researched every day for a year before getting any such (obviously dodgy) deal. Now I must have had well over 50 for myself and others with only minor problems.
The bottom line is always commence by covering yourself completely so you are in a position to enforce payments through the courts. If you do that properly you will get your money provided the dealer is still around to pay up. That is MY warning to others.
juliakill: if the form doesn't arrive in time then email your details to someone higher up in the phones4u company such as matthew (dot) maple (@) phones4u (dot) com.
see mobilejunkie that's what useful advice looks like.0 -
I do see. I also see why you got into difficulties.0

Many thanks amcdermo, I have finally received the cashback form, after sending them another email asking them if this is a ploy to get out of paying me! They are definitely not sending out the cashback forms automatically to everyone, like they state on their website. They are hoping we forget and then drag their feet when we remember. I will send this off and make sure they receive it.
Many thanks0 -
May I suggest using Special Delivery instead of Recorded Delivery when returning these forms.
Keep on your toes with these companies. If they say they haven't received the form via SD then contact the POD team at Royal Mail. They will send you a letter stating date and time of delivery and a copy of the barcoded delivery slip. Then, if they don't pay up, you can nail the phone company straight away with a Money Claim Online.
Unfortunately I had to go to these lengths with e2s when they denied receiving a claim (despite me giving them all the evidence to the contrary).
The mantra has to be to keep all records and never give them the benefit of the doubt.0 -
you get 60 days to claim - send RD and if it doesn't get there (unlikely) then re-send using SD.The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I don't know what the address of M2YD cashback is. If they are using a PO Box then Royal Mail say RD does not necessarily produce a signature. With SD someone has to sign for it, even with a PO Box. Personally I would always go with SD if the document is very important. I'm not using M2YD at the moment, but it seems that obtaining a replacement cashback form can be difficult. As ever, you pay your money and take your choice.0 -
It isn't. I send mine ordinary post and always have a back-up plan. It doesn't need to be signed for in any case; just proof of delivery is sufficent. As with ALL cashback deals you need to know exactly what you're doing, have a back up plan and be prepared (from day one) to sue. Anyone not doing those things is taking a very high risk.0

Yes - but that one I'm keeping to myself! Emails usually get a response.0
