My 6 months passed at the start of the month and I didn't get my claim form. I emailed them a few days ago and was told they have sent it out and I received it today. It has the correct figure of £120.
Only issue is it has the wrong phone nubmer on it. Actually it is the same number that was stated on the original invoice when I got the phone despite me getting a different number from Vodafone! I've emailed them asking whether it is okay for me to amend the number and make my claim.
Also should I send an original bill or a photocopy? From my point of view it doesn't matter but I'd rather send a photocopy just in case it gets lost in the post (not happened to me before when making a cashback claim but I never have complete faith in Royal Mail!).
Edit:
Just got a reply. It says the claim is based on the details and not the phone nubmer so it doesn't matter. Also I have to send the original bill and not a photocopy.
Edit 2:
Actually they say I can send a photocopy after I queried the wording on my claim form!0 -
I've used rec del with all my claims with OSPS and not had a problem with getting the cashback.
Wait till you do get a problem, then you will understand the false economy of using recorded delivery.
If you want peace of mind then use special delivery with consequential loss.
There was a post on this forum from someone who sent a cashback claim via recorded delivery, Royal Mail failed to deliver and the time period to make the claim elapsed. The person lost their entitlement to all future claims so was done by more than £300. If the same claim had gone via special with consequential then he could have claimed the entire cashback from Royal Mail (including the future claims).0 -

I say use recorded if you are sending a photocopied bill and you have plenty of time to make a claim. This way if your claim isn't received by the company within a few days you can send out for another claim.
If you have to send an original bill and/or your time to make a claim is running out then use special delivery with consequential loss.
Of course, Mobiles2yourdoor is a special case as they require you to use their claim form instead of other retailers like e2save and OSPS who allow you to print off the claim from the website. Still you do have 60 days to make a claim but if you don't want any potential hassle of asking for another claim form then go for the special + consequential option.0 -
The form clearly states that you can send a copy of the bill. I have been told two conflicting things in two different emails from them, but since the form makes it clear I will be sending copies not originals.0

I've just ordered a Vodafone G600 from M2YD, do you need to send the front cover of the bill or do you need a full itemised bill?
Do you automatically get a paper bill or do you have to request one from Vodafone?0 -
follow your t's and c's - no guarantee it'll be the same as anyone else's!
send the whole thingh unless it tells you otherwise... check with Voda about paper bills - mine have been automatic and should be unless you opt out I would expectThe thanks button is here to the right.
