I've just tried to call them three times. The first time I just got cut off as soon as I called. The 2nd time I got through to someone and cut off just after she asked for the ref. no. And the 3rd time it rang for the cashback dept. and then cut off again.

So I think I'm just going to write a letter, stating that despite 3 emails and 3 attempts to call, I can't get a form out of them, so I'm just sending the bill and want my cashback.
Well the form has arrived today having got through to them evenually on that day (they reckoned a fault with their lines)... anyway, the amount on there is wrong! Having rung they reckon "there was a mistake on the website, it should start at £48 and then step up with subsequent claims"!!!

I'm going to send it back with a note and a copy of the thing saying £480 in 4 lots of £120 and see what happens... I will put on the note that if I don't get £120 back as per our contractual agreement, I'll sue for the full cashback claim without further notice.

    Sid Harper,

    Check your PM.
  • Sid,

Just spoke to them on 01782 677 600, (press 3 and then ask receptionist to put you though to M2YD)

He is sending me form, he apologised for me not receiving original (had they actually sent it?).

He said as soon as my February bill arrives, send that, and that the first claim is for £48.

    He added the other claims are as follows;

    April 08 - £96
    June 08 - £144
    Aug 08 - £196

I queried it but he wasn't for being pushed, just sticking to the Company line of "it's just how it's been set up".

The obvious reason is that it is more likely for incorrect claims to be made the longer the contract has been running, and add to that a nice cashflow of paying later than agreed than in my T&C's.

I'd fight it, but after my losses with TMO, I just want some cashback!!!

I'll also be using RM Special Delivery to ensure prompt delivery.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

I'm going to send with consequential loss cover too - since one missed/ruined claim invalidates all future ones; having said that they say to allow 30 days for processing so maybe not necessary

PS: thanks for the non-geo number... it has been costing me a small fortune calling these people

Yes thats right..Simply follow the instructions. Ignore month 6 etc. As soon as you hit your claim date send the latest bill you have at that date.

Not according to an email they sent to me...

My form says to send the latest bill at the claim eligibility date... in my case, that was last week so my bill from end of Jan is what I have sent off today.

My understanding's that they probably don't really care which bill you send, unlike other outlets. I made an phonecall as well as sending them an email last week, in both occasions, they mentioned that bill should outdate the claim date.

Why over complicate things. Simple follow what it tells you on your claim form. On my claim form I was told :

Wait until the valid claim date is reached

Complete the claim form and send it to the address below, with a copy f your most recent nework bill

Unless your form is different I would follow the claim procedure stated on the form. If they then deny you payment it makes life easier.

Then it is not strictly following the claim procedure. Its upto you but for my phones4u cash back contract I have sent in whatever I had at the claim date and had both cashbacks claims back without a problem.
