I hope my skepticism will be proved wrong; Lord knows, we badly need a reliable cashback dealer nowadays! However, none of these companies freely gives out more than they receive and my experience elsewhere leads me to be cautious - otherwise I would have taken one or two others to this place already, as opposed to taking them elsewhere. It would be great to be able to bring them here, but I won't do so until I'm convinced (or increase my own exposure to them beyond reason) - and so far the facts aren't forthcoming. Once I have them I will be in a much better position to judge, so I keep an eye on both the Phones4U and Mobiles2yourdoor threads twice a day (more if anyone posts!).0

sent them an email, will let you know how it goes. spiced things up by saying that their answer is being waited upon by lots of potential buyers on a very popular website.
also said that straightforward answers would gain them many customers.
if they cant even reply to an enquiry from a potential customer then imagine what theyre like when your under contract with them!0 -
Well I have taken out a 12 month free cashback deal from them and they seem quite professional, although their security procedures seem a bit lax, I used a credit card registered to an old address and they still sent me the phone! The literature sent with the phone looks like an exact copy of phones 4 u paperwork, since they are a phones 4 u company. I would bet my cashback that their claim form will be the same too!0

MobileJunkie: You can read about my experiences and others with Phones 4 u on the thread below. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=378958
I got off lightly compared to others! I needed a new contract as I stupidly cancelled my 11 months free O2 deal with CPW over the 0844 saga in an attempt for them to give me something extra back...needless to say it backfired and they cancelled my contract  so went for the mobiles2yourdoor 12 months free on the K810i. I am also gearing up for a fight!
Bradfordboy: In Bradford quite a few retailer are doing cashback deals, have you got any experience of anyone that is reliable? DMC are offering £20 for the whole year if you take out 2 contracts, with cashback paid upfront. Am a bit tempted.
Current cashback deals:
Mobiles2yourdoor: K810i 12 months free orange (still within return period)
CPW: Virgin SIM only 6 month free 6 month contract0 -
Thanks; that's another thread I've been following at least twice a day for several months.
The k810i is no longer 12 months free - THAT offer only appeared for one evening last week - presumably the one you ordered it on! It's now £200 up front among other possibilities.0 -

All my contracts have been off the internet im afraid, do you think it would be worth having a look round the shops for a decent deal on an n95?
i always presumed the cheapest contratcs were on the internet0 -
As I expected. You actually asked the wrong questions in any case! I have obtained more pertinent information myself, however it is far from comprehensive, on occasion totally contradictory and I still don't know which bill I need to actually send - nor what I have to send with it. If you deal with them, assume they will trip you up and prepare accordingly. If they don't, fine! Otherwise, beware! I will add that I'm not totally unimpressed by them and hope I can use them extensively for myself also my friends; but I won't be taking others there until I know exactly what I'm doing with them.0

they were the concerns i had, and the questions i wanted answering. why not share the info you have collected?0 -
Just sent them another email about the exact process of the cashback redemption, this seems to be the bit they arent willing to talk about, we'll see0
-
And did they answer? Question one was as I said before; question 3 isn't that much of a problem and question 2 (the important one) they sidestepped, which is worrying!
In my case, post 148 on here was very useful. It helped me home in on the dates and I subsequently obtained something similar for mine - won't help you though since you haven't ordered yet! I also obtained at least one answer to a question I'd asked before several times. The answer I got contradicted a previous one and it's not always wise to post everything on an open thread! This is a game and you have to know how to play. Being too generous with all the rules can mess up your own gameplan and give the opposition too much useful information!0
