    Do a forum search.

The Mobile Outlets claim window is 60 days.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
  • Has anyone had a claim form for their cashback yet? It must be around claim one for some people now and (although they've since changed the cashback structure) it would be useful to see a form and precisely what they're asking for etc.

I must admit I'm considering going with this lot for my next contract and the above info would be useful
  • the redemtion part of their t&c's

Cheque Back only available on specified handsets. Please check individual handsets and specific tariffs for details. Any Cheque Back promotion offered by us is an offer from us and is separate from the contract agreed between you and your chosen network airtime provider. Redemption of Cheque Back offers may be required to be made at multiple intervals during the life of the contract depending on the terms of the Cheque Back offer. You will pay the full price of the handset and receive a cheque for the appropriate portion of the Cheque Back offer after each redemption (and the Cheque Back offer will be invalidated to the extent that you have not made full payment for the handset at the time of connection to the appropriate tariff). All Cheque Back offers will be processed after the handset has been delivered and connected. If you exchange the handset for a different model of handset after connection to the relevant tariff, you shall no longer be entitled to the Cheque Back offer. Within 30 days of your first redemption period, a claim form will be sent to your address. This claim form will need to be completed and returned via post each time a redemption is to be made. The claim form must be received by us at the address specified for us in the claim form no later than 60 days after the valid claim date as specified in the claim form and must be accompanied by the duly completed paperwork as specified in the 'how to claim' section of the claim form. The claim form and paperwork must be legible in order to be eligible. The original claim form that we sent you must be used and no other form or letter will be acceptable in its place. If you have lost a claim form, please contact the Customer Services Team on 08709014711 to request a replacement claim form. We cannot accept any liability for applications lost or delayed in the post. Proof of posting will not be accepted by us as proof of delivery. If you are in any doubt as to the terms of the Cheque Back offer, you should contact the Customer Services Team on 08709014711. The bill(s) accompanying your claim form must show that you have, at all times since the date of connection pursuant to the promotional offer, been on the same or higher value tariff as at the date of redemption. Upon receipt of a claim form for a Cheque Back offer, we will verify such application for eligibility and may at our sole discretion refuse an application. When your Cheque Back claim is processed, you will, if you are entitled to further redemptions, be sent a new claim form to enable you to make the next redemption. Please not that where multiple redemptions are required, any failure to make one redemption invalidates all future redemptions. Cheques will be made payable to the person who placed the original order and will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the redemption form and bill. If the handset is returned under the 7 day Peace of Mind Guarantee no cheque will be issued until 30 days after the provision of a replacement handset. No cheque will be dispatched if a refund is issued. Only handsets purchased in the promotion period will be eligible for the Cheque Back offer. Instructions issued and notified to you by us from time to time in relation to Cheque Back offers shall form part of these terms and conditions. We accept no tax liability incurred by and individual or business relating to any Cheque Back offer.

does that mean you have to pay the full handset price after each redemption? there is usually 4 redemptions.

    confused

    thanks alot
  • I think you have to interpret THAT as meaning you have to pay the full line rental in order to claim the cashback. Otherwise it wouldn't be x months free. If the price for the handset is "0" then they can't take money from you for it - unless you break another condition somewhere which you're not referring to or expecting to break. Not sure why you copied the whole block of the t&c when it's only one part you're worried about. If in doubt, try emailing them; they have been known to reply (sometimes!) and written confirmation is more meaningful than any answers or assumptions from people on here - including me! I would also point out there is an existing thread on this company:-

Sounds like you're new to this; I would advise extreme caution as your particular concern is likely to be the least of your worries with cashback deals!

    thanks.

Im not new to cashback offers by the way, infact, my most painless cashback redemption was from phones4u which this company are a part of.

the phone im thinking of getting is a £0 phone so i dont think i have anything to worry about

    thanks
  • I am interested in your experience with Phones4U. I know they are the same and since I do have a contract with this company I am interested in the way they work.

they may be owned by the same people but it may be different people running it from phones 4 u.

not much to tell really about my experience. no problems whatsoever. it was a samsung d600 on a 12 month o2 contract with cashback on the 6th month.

never got a redemption form, so called p4u and the lass on the phone emailed me a form straight away(she gave me a choice of post or email, i wasnt too fussed so said email).

    thats basically it.

might aswell take a risk with m2yd, £35 a month isnt too much if cashback problems arise. each to their own i guess
  • When you say one claim in month 6 - was this a totally free deal or merely a small rebate? It makes a huge difference with these things. They ARE the same company - same central switchboard and same t&c generally. Phones4U have a generally bad reputation and my initial attempt to get answers by email a few monhts ago proved worse than fruitless, so until I'm certain I wouldn't take any of my friends to them or go overboard on my exposure. However, they have better deals than most and aren't likely to disappear so are worth investigating. I am entirely skeptical though; to date I've had both good and bad responses and I donlt liek the way they are hiding the claim requirements until almost 6 months into the contract - something they also changed after people took them out, when they were supposed to get the first claim form within 28 days. I have asked recently on the correct thread for a copy, since some people must now be at that stage. I waited a couple of monhts before taking the plunge so that I might glean more before I come to make claim one. I always cover myslef so I can sue if needbe though - and until I know better am working on that basis, just in case!

the cashback on the 6 month, paid for the other 6 months. so it wasnt totally free, just half free.

btw, i have seen your post on the proper thread, i saw it yesterday, and am keeping a close eye on things.

but like i say, i have nothing but praise for phones4u, others obviously have different views by the sound of it
