Nice People Thread No. 14, all Nice and Proper

Options
Put your analyst on danger money, and welcome to the 14th Nice People thread. Just in time for Spring.

It's cosy and friendly here

This is a haven of tranquility in the turbulent torrent of tirades that makes up the Debate Forum. Please behave with decency, delicacy and decorum and expect the same in return.

It is a refuge from the storm where we can discuss the ephemera and trivia of life without raised voices or vexatious arguments.

In short, be nice. If you find that's difficult, just try harder.

New posters always welcomed, and please don't take offence at our innocent enquiries where you may be politely probed concerning your fungophilic or fungophobic leanings.

Discussion of cake, chocolate, home decorations and other distractions are most definitely welcome.

Politics and economics, not so much. :naughty:

Thanks to all who have previously started threads, particularly the first thread's founder, carolt. :D

Nice one zag. Best intro since the one I did IMHO!

    Love the alliteration.

We'll get a ton more use out of the old thread as PN pugilisticly purges her posts.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Hi All!

I can't find it online, but Waitrose have done a survey of Easter egg purchases. Apparently, one in three of us admit to having eaten an Easter egg we bought for someone else.

Also, whilst on the bizarre, DW is off by train tomorrow to visit her brother in Manchester. Two standard single tickets cost £70 in total, whilst a cheap day return is £81.60. There's nowt as queer as rail pricing.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

So satisfying to be able to click on the thread title and not the tiny last page number.

Thank you for the welcome, zag. I shall post a picture of my fluffy fireside socks when I'm back in them. :)
