Steve says i am allowed as i have worked all holiday except Christmas Day. I have bought slippers 6 pairs for all of next year from John Lewis (£54). Nothing else except food now. V happy. This year is going to be weird i may as well have comfy warm shoes.

  • A good pair of slippers makes a huge difference at home, no justification needed 😁

  • Hey Swan, seconded! There's nothing worse than cold toes (or cold anything come to think of it!) especially if you are WFH and stuck to the screen, so can't move about much. You are on course to reaching your goals, so, enjoy the treats and rest when you can. :)

  • DS & gf bought me new slippers for Christmas so I threw away my old ones where the sole had holes 😆 Now the new ones have come away from the sole 😔 Will have to wait & see what bojo announces today about the tiers to see if the shop she bought them in will be open to take them back for exchange or refund.

Happy New Year!!!! It is payday I am so happy. After all the direct debits (and credit card for jan feb) go out i will have a v healthy £149 left for food and fun. I have been keeping a spending diary for a whole year and this has slowly helped me to cut out non essential spending. I'm starting a new book today for 2021 so i can continue to do this.
More good news today an old uni friend contacted me out of the blue after over 20 years. We have had a lovely catch up and will meet when we can when covid is over. My Norton and calendars came today. The boys did a drive by in the car last night to wish me a happy new year early and left lots of bags of food. Thanks to them I certainly shan't starve!!! I am so lucky and blessed to have them in my life.
Work is utter chaos since the Boris announcements yesterday so i had to just stop everything and take a step back for my sanity. Plenty of work to carry on with tomorrow though. Yikes.

  • Monitoring money is the only way to see where it goes and allows good plans to be put into place.

I'm so pleased you got to see the boys 🤗

    Happy New Year!
