Hi Skinty, it is so good to be able to do things like watch tv after work and cook a meal without being too tired. Then to be able to jump on a train and travel anywhere is brill too.
Today I managed to sort out my Microsoft plan so that i do not have to pay any more than £60 odd pounds a year. I would like to just pay a one off charge and buy it forever. It used to be free with my old computer. I will see if i can find a way to pay it off in one go.
Job for this week. Have a good day. I will see all the new posts it is so good there are new members.

Hello Ordinary Yet Unique, yes amazingly i have semi retired. I work vvvv part time in a doddly job earning £8k a year so I get to see people and have a laugh! It would not have been possible without the help and advice of amazing people on this thread. Skinty, Moving Forward, Firewalker, Beanie, 3dogs, and my dearest friend Steve who has passed now. In all it took 18 years to save to pay off my mortgage. I have a good few years before i can claim my work pension.
At present I am on summer hols, new fences have just been put up around the garden and a lot of bramble and branches have been cut back so my garden is once again large. I am about to go to visit my parents in the Midlands. Then when i return i will spray paint fences and clear the branches away. During the holiday i have had regular walks to the beach and am trying to cut my carbs to get fitter. Giving up full time work for a much easier job has been amazing for my health. I have decluttered so many things but keep finding other bits to declutter. There are a pile of posh dresses that i will try to sell on ebay or vinted eventually. I have grown tomatoes and green beans. The tomatoes are looking great but it has not been a good year for the beans, neither for the strawberries or raspberries. I am hoping that next year will be better. I will not be lazy and will try to water them earlier in the season. The lawn looks cracking, almost as good as Wimbledon!!!!
I have been semi retired for a year. I do miss using my brain. I keep being offered jobs in my old field but am enjoying the break for now. I have the finances for a new kitchen but am going to have a looooooong think about what i want and will do it in the next year or two. Hope everyone is well. I will log on when I get back.

Well it is nearly December and I remembered to log on. I hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend. It is dark outside and the Christmas tree is up (lol it has been for over a month). It is cold and the heating is staying on for an extra few hours tonight.
All is well. I am working very part time at the same place in a v easy job and enjoying being around some nice people. There are some not so nice people too and i generally avoid them quite successfully. My garden fence is painted and looks good. The weeds at the back need clearing and i am hiring someone to do that starting soon. I have bought some lovely bulbs that need planting very soon so that it will look great in Spring. I did use to have great bulbs but the Muscari took over and I am having them all dug out.
I was very slow discovering V(nted, but I have succumbed and saved a fortune on some lovely new clothes. In the last few months eating out has been rather excessive and it affects my blood sugars, weight and bank balance so I am trying to be much more healthy.
I am meeting friends this weekend we are going to a Christmas market. It will be good to have a look around. The plan this weekend is to try to tidy a few bits out of the garage as it is full of all sorts. It is so good to have time in the evenings and weekends to enjoy N(tflix. I am not going on expensive trips in my semi retirement, it is just good to have a stress free life.
I hope everyone has a great MSE weekend.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
