I pay my aol by continuous monthly debit card payment and if my card isn,t in by then the payment wont go through. Thats all i need, aol to cut my internet off too....that would absolutely crack me up big time.

I would setup direct debits for anything that go out as continues card payment (soon, now) if you can go to the internet banking or telephone/branch as I think we are here for the long run.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

I was this afternoon at my local branch to see if my card arrived there, but no luck.
It looked like the woman didn't know what I was talking about at first, when I said that Abbey were messing up people by not sending their card on time.
I said I suppose to have got it this week but before calling them again I wanted to know if the card wasn't sent at the Abbey branch. She did check, but it baffles me, surely other peoples in my area have been messed up and gone to the branch, so they should have known, or are we only just a few being played with.
I still don't understand how they can have my address on computer at the call centre but not at the card department. Supposedly my address was given to them, don't tell me they sent the card, it's unbelievable.
Tomorrow I have to call them again, then they will reoder a new card, and I won't be able to go online and pay bills......
Why do they have always the address for a new card, but not for your normal renewal card? Something is weird here.
Is it better to hand write a letter of complaint or to type it?0 -
Type it - it looks more official, and the way Abbey are, they are likely to turn around and say they couldn't read the writing!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

No bloody cards again! Well done Shabbey!
I don't know if I want to wait till monday or tuesday as some cards arrived after the estimated delivery, then are cancelled because you have ordered a new one,or if I call today to get that new card with new numbers that will prevent me to log on to my account.
I think I'll wait a couple of more days. I don't want to make myself sick over this, but I am pretty near to be.
I suppose I can still pay by cheques, it's 2 years since I sent a cheque to anyone, but I won't be able to see what goes in or out of my accounts, and that annoys me the most. And the fact that I cannot get any cash. And the fact that you should expect a hell of a better job from a bank to whom you have entrusted your hard earned money. If those problems are happening for something as simple as sending the right card to the right address, how can they be trusted with anything?0 -
Spark, are you waiting for a card that expirerd July or August? Please do not feed the Trolls!0

August. I was told on the 24th of august that the card were sent. No card.
I have called them on the first of september (on day after my card expiry date) to tell them so, was told it was because of unconfirmed address, the lady checked with me that my address on her computer was right, then passed it on to the cards department (well that's what I understood at the time). Then was told my card will be with me within 5 to 7 days. No card. Called them back on tuesday 11th (7th day), was told after check that the card has been sent, and this time was told that I needed to wait 7 to 10 days. (she meant that, though I was told to wait 5 to 7 days, I suppose to have been told to wait 7 to 10 days. Different training?)I told her I was concerned not to be able to go online if ordering a new card, so she said to wait till saturday and if not there, to call back to order a new card, but then no online banking. I should have called today.
Okay, it's not long ago, but I should have had that card before the old one expires, and after seing that some people here had no cards for 2 months, I am hoping it won't turn out that way for me.
I am just going by people's experiences here and try to see whether I can avoid the "after I ordered a new card, my card arrived but was cancelled, now I have to wait for the passcodes and the new pin..."
And I did eliminate the possibility of my card being sent to my Abbey branch, as some people in this thread had their cards sent to their local branch instead of their address.
And I've lived for 14 years at my current address, the only address they had on their database was this one, so they couldn't have sent the card to a previous address.
That's all I can do really.....0 -
Seems Abbey staff have become a bunch of lia's :mad:Please do not feed the Trolls!0
