Would you be chuffed if they gave your child 50p in a card and said sorry moneys a bit tight.

Could happen. It's his birthday in a couple of weeks. :T:T

I find it odd that he'd be annoyed, personally!
I really wouldn't care if you got me a chocolate Orange for my birthday, lol. Who cares!!

Besides, if he got you maltesers for yours, then it's even more acceptable, no?!

This entire thread should be moved to old style, it could change birthdays as we know it.

Chocolate buttons, after eights, a creme egg if you are really good you might get some green and blacks.

How long could one choc orange be regifted before it gets eaten. Its my birthday next month, I now have the fear incase anyone gives me a short dated choc orange.

Ooh, I have a multipack of those tiny green and blacks bars in the fridge downstairs. Reckon that's the next year or 2 of birthdays sorted for me!!:beer:

The malteasers weren't for her 30th. Nor did they pay a penny for the chocolate orange!

I don't know how anyone could think giving your own brother a sodding second-hand chocolate orange for his 30th birthday is in any way appropriate.

Unless you really really don't like him, because it certainly shouts "Here, have this random old crap I don't want, you insignificant loser"

Well I think this bit that the OP mentioned on page 1 of the thread has been overlooked actually.
He usually gets hubby a book or something similar and gets me maltesers (which I'm well chuffed about because I love maltesers).
    Post 10.

The brother in law DID only buy her maltesers for her birthday. So does he have a right to complain... really??? ;)

I didn't choose to have a baby - I was on the depo injection, and I actually work 48 hours a week most weeks, and my husband works full time too, so we put in our share, thanks.
