The broken wire is between 2 poles. They are still telling me they need to dig the road up to repair an underground cable but it's low priority and will only get done when resources are available. (I know from within Openreach that the job was closed down months ago and that the job was to install a new pole, nothing to do with underground cables)
Do you share the service with anyone else ?
Sounds more like an issue with Openreach rather than TT ...
Have you reported it directly to Openreach or relied on TT to report it for you ?

This is for BT phone line faults - rather than broadband - but should at least get things moving.....0 -
Move talk & BB to Sky and get six months free BB or fibre.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
It is an Openreach issue but they won't talk to me (at least officially) as I'm not their customer. The main issue though is in the way that Talktalk interface to Openreach and the way they treat me as a customer. They just believe everything in front of them and when I contest what I'm being told, they aren't interested...this is what it say here so it but be true. The DP is shared but the fault is between the DP and my house. I think there are 4 or 5 poles that are unique to my line. This 'underground' cable they need to repair is between 2 of those poles. If it' an underground cable, why are the poles there and how did a falling tree damage it?
duchy, I don't think I can get sky services as I'm not on fibre yet. The BT infinity site says that it will be available end of January though and Top Cashback are doing some great deals0 -
They have at least noticed my comments on their fb page0

"Perhaps you may consider a satellite link ?"
This was the suggestion of my local authority when I was pushing them to push BT for fibre, 2 years ago !!0 -
BT Infinity site tells me I can have it end of Jan0
