Best basic line rental +unlimited broadband deal

I'm absolutely fed up to the teeth with TalkTalk so am looking for a new deal. (I will also be cancelling my Sky subscription).
I'm not particularly interested in a TV bundle or free calls as I know Sky will eventually offer a 1/2 price deal so am happy to wait for that. We also don't make many calls so just use the bundled minutes on our mobiles.
Where is the best basic deal at the moment (I've looked at the comparison sites but they seem to only cater for triple or quad play and tend not to include line rental)

Ironically TalkTalk appears to be the best deal at the moment - SimplyBroadband is free for 12 months, so there is just the line rental to pay @ £16.70 but you get the 10% discount if you pay early each month.
I'm in a similar position to yourself, but looking for a new deal.
The BT deal with TV seems one of the best at the moment - factoring in the £125 Sainsbury's gift card and £210.00 cashback available via TopCashBack - This works out at £13.33 per month including line rental, assuming the cashback tracked correctly.0 -
Yes I was just looking at the BT deal, it looks good (and includes the BT sport channel).
Is that for a 12 month contract with no overhanging commitment?0 -

I believe the only commitment is the 12 months. My plan is to possibly move to BT and then at the end of the 12 months move back to TT and claim the cashback / gift voucher offer at the time.
My only reason to think twice is that I will lose the £5/month fibre for life and free international calls for life with TalkTalk - that I would never be able to get back again.0 -
What calls are included in the BT deal?0

Is BB unlimited?0

Looks like the £125 voucher is only for infinity. I'm out in the sticks so I think I would only qualify for £750

I have just today been looking at this deal and it does seem to be the winner as I am in the market for a new deal.
It's a shame it's a Sainsbury's card as I don't shop there. I looked at Sky but it turned out more expensive, plus they would have to faff and put up a dish, blah de blah.
Only downside to the BT deal is the activation fee of £50 - but even with that, it's still a great deal... providing your order is tracked through TCB.0 -
I've actually found out that infinity should be available at the end of January. The £125 voucher deal expires in a day or 2. I called BT and they said that there will be an equivalent deal after that so not to worry. I don't shop at Sainsburys either but I guess that's not really an issue. I also need to ask BT what happens if you bust the 20Gb limit, whether you just get your service restricted or whether you get ripped off. I wonder if you can take the lower tariff and then upgrade if you need to0

What I saw on their website yesterday was that they charge you in blocks of 5GB - I think it was something like £5 per 5GB - Which obviously works out more expensive.
20GB is hardly anything when you are using a FTTC service.0
