Stash Busting 2015 - I WILL use my mountains before buying more!

wall hanging by Bobbie Doctor, on Flickr
This wall hanging was made entirely from stash - and still didn't use up nearly enough! I'm counting 4 towards my total (2 lots of fabric, wadding & thread). I'm quite disappointed with the pic as it certainly looks rather messier than it actually is. I'll be putting a weight into the bottom and also something (a batten maybe) at the top for hanging. This should help with the shape
I've also crocheted 18 squares from the "Emily's Roses" pattern that someone posted a link to; think it was this thread but may have been somewhere else on MSE. Thank you, whoever you are. I did buy the white wool, but if it helps move other stuff out .... Need to do some more squares before I can stitch them together into a blanket; I'll post a pic when it's done.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I have been avoiding making things this weekend - we ended up foraging - so will have to buy sugar etc - but have gathered much fruit...
2.5 lbs red cherries
1 lb black cherries
10.5 lbs plums
5.5 lbs apples and
2 lbs rowan berries
We will be making much jam. And plum gin. nom nom
I may have to bite the bullet and go on a sewing class that looks at patterns - the fabric isn't going to suddenly disappear until I gain focus and confidence to cut into it...
Hope you are all well...

Second go at posting - it vanished!
You're going to be (will have been) very busy, nimbo. I have tried making any kind of gin, but I do like making jam. That said, I've only made strawberry jam this year - and I bought the fruit for that!
It's back to card making for me.

I used salvaged wrapping paper with music on, and two cards are made from salvaged greetings cards that i received. The masks were saved from posh Christmas crackers from a friend. The rest of stuff is from stash.0 -
I like your ideas, pixie, but I can't see your cards! I got this message:

and couple of cards using a Sue Wilson die and card leftover from making the wedding invitations. I didn't have purple stickers so I coloured some silver ones. The little one was made with the bit I'd cut to the wrong size - waste not, want not, lol.60th birthday by Bobbie Doctor, on Flickr

Greentiger, i love your wall hanging. Gorgeous.
nimbo. Rowan berries..Would this be the same kind i have on the rowan tree in my garden or a different type? Sounds a stupid question, but i was always told as a child they were poisonous! If not and i can make things i'd love to try. Also, as you seem to be the one in the know. I have a large crab apple tree in the garden too. What can be made with crab apples? I've never tried anything with them before and it seems such a waste. Plus using them will stop neighbourhood kids picking them and throwing them at the house and passing cars. Any ideas would be great, thanksBook a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120
