  • I did manage to produce 612 items against the target of 500.

Okay, 400 of these items were actually printed greetings cards to help me use up some of the card mountain that takes up space in the craft room so not sure how this counts towards the target. Anyway, at least making these enabled me to use 8 packs of 50 linen-effect 6x6 card blanks from the stash, along with paper for the printed inserts, envelopes and cello bags! (These cards were donated to local charities who have used them for fund-raising.)

Other items made included dresses and short-sleeve shirts for DGD and DGS (age 6 and 4 yrs respectively), sewing clothes for myself, hand and machine knits, bookmarks to help with a friend's fundraising efforts, various greetings cards for family and friends throughout the year, Christmas cards, aprons (again for fundraising), and other items that I won't bore you with by listing them all.

I still have enough craft stash to last through several lifetimes but not sure just now about taking on the challenge for 2016 due to other things needing higher priority for a while... will decide between now and the new year.

I was visiting the thread a lot earlier in the year and it inspired me to try and actually use some of my craft stuff rather then just buying/ accumulating it So just a quick round up and if there is another thread for 2016 I will make a concerted effort to post and craft more often.

I managed to make all my Christmas cards this year (approx 30 cards) so that used up some stash. I also finished a cross stitch for my mother in law and framed it for Christmas. I have made three quarters of a cushion, just need to sew up the outside - my first cushion! And I made my family birthday cards through the year However I rewarded myself by visiting the sales and I have two parcels hopefully arriving in the next few days!!

Well done everyone who made things through the year, using stuff instead of buying it and I hope to get to know some of you if there is a new thread.
